For the last two weeks Time Machine has been unable to complete back up. It's throwing up the following: The error detail shows : The file does not exist in finder and have tried logging Mac out of iCloud and back in again but error remains. Any thoughts much appreciated.

(0) Make sure you have other third-party browsers on your computer, and that their names start with a letter before "M", for me it is Arc browser. (1) Install a previous version of Edge Mac Canary (it can be downloaded from official web site:https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/edge/download/insider?cc=1&cs=426423789&form=MA13FJ). If you don't have an older version, you can download and save the current version, and then try the below steps after a day or two. (2) Eject the DMG from the Finder Sidebar. (3) Switch to the System Settings panel, set the "Default web browser" as Edge Mac Canary just installed. (4) Click a URL link from Notes, it will open in Edge Mac Canary. (5) Navigate to "Settings"->"About Microsoft Edge" in Edge and wait for the update information to show that update is complete (it will auto update to the latest version). (6) Check current result of "Default web browser" in System Settings again. What is the expected result? The "Default web browser" should still be Edge Canary. What happens instead? The "Default web browser" in System Settings will change to Arc. But this time, when you click the link from Notes, it will open in Safari, which means that "Default web browser is shown as Arc, but it is actually Safari. It is worth noting that if you start Edge Mac in step (3) and then set it as Default Browser in the "edge://settings/defaultBrowser" page, this problem will not occur after the update is completed. My app relies a lot on user inputs. Is it okay to include a button that loads sample data for reviewers, or is there a preferred approach for this? Besides the known constraints (< 25 MB, experienceable within ~3 minutes), are there any other limits, e.g. lines of code or overall app complexity Can AI-generated assets (e.g. images) be used if they’re clearly labeled as such inside the app? Do we need to explicitly document where AI was used (assets, code, etc.) as part of the submission? My app uses the Foundation Model: On what device is the submission evaluated and should the usage of the Foundation Model be explicitly marked for reviewers? In PDFKit on MacOS, if you create a PDFView and matching Thumbnail View, and then set the PDFView to Horizontal: selecting the thumbnail no longer move the PDFView to the correct page. It works for all styles of View (Two Page Continuous, etc) in Vertical orientation.

Around October 17, our app was removed from the App Store, and we were later informed that our developer account would be terminated within 30 days. This was an unexpected and shocking notice for us. After carefully reviewing Apple’s Developer Guidelines, we conducted a thorough internal investigation and confirmed that we did, in fact, violate certain policies. However, we are unsure whether the Apple Review Team could give us an opportunity to make corrections—otherwise, our new apps will not be able to launch on the App Store in the future. The stated reason for our account termination was: “You provided fraudulent and/or false account information, documentation, or otherwise falsely represented yourself or your submitted app to Apple either during the account enrollment process or after the account was created.” After reviewing this issue, we identified two foolish and critical mistakes on our part: We registered our developer account using our Mainland China company, but used a Hong Kong company’s bank account for payments. (Both companies are under the same management, and we have submitted supporting documentation during our appeal.) Our official website, Privacy Policy, and Terms of Service also displayed the name of our Hong Kong company instead of the Mainland China entity used for registration. Despite these mistakes, we have continued to support our users through email and our Discord community, resolving most issues within 24 hours. We have never deceived our users or the Apple Review Team in any way. For us as developers, providing an excellent user experience has always been our top priority, and we have always aimed to follow Apple’s review and compliance standards closely. We sincerely hope that, given our situation, the Apple Review Team could grant us an opportunity to correct these issues. We will promptly register a new Hong Kong Apple Developer Account, and once our app is reinstated, we will migrate all relevant information to that new account to ensure full compliance moving forward.

Hello, I'm trying to publish my app, but I'm constantly getting rejected by Apple. They're telling me I'm having issues with tracking user data. This item has been rejected for the following reasons: 5.1.2 Legal: Privacy - Data Use and Sharing I've indicated that I don't use this data for ads, that it's only used for personalization and to understand who saves items. I added the NSUserTrackingUsageDescription property to the info.plist. I run AppTrackingTransparency.requestTrackingAuthorization() when the user logs into the app, displaying a warning message. I'd say I meet all the requirements they've set for me, but they still haven't approved my app. What do you recommend? How can I speak to a physical person who can help me? I have a Macbook and a Mac Mini at home, connected with Universal Control. When I copy-paste some big group of files (say, 250GB of photos) the OS creates a copy of all those files under shared-clipboard in Library (filling up disk space in short time) even if I don't even move the cursor to other devices. It doesn't even delete those files and clear up disk space even after I paste it. This is a design flaw, it shouldn't be like this.

Hello all! My name is Luke, and I'm a 14 year old with a idea for SSC. This is my first SSC submission ever. I would like some feedback concerning a question. My app is an AI powered academic planner that helps you and your life. I won't give too much away, but I believe it's a really helpful concept. It uses a mini on-device LLM (built with simple if this word typed then do this logic) to help organize assignments. This is a real business I am building, and I put inside of my app simulated features such as the app saying "scanning your Google Classroom..", would this go against any terms and make the app less likely to win? I also have my app fully polished, and feels like an actual app and finished product, with demo assignments pre-loaded, and most stuff is placeholders. Should the app be more like a guided simulator? Such as "click here to see how this will be simulated in a final release" or again should it be polished? I just want some feedback, since I only have 3 minutes, and the app needs to be offline, I just want to improvise. Hopefully I can get some feedback from the community, and/or ex-winners! Thanks all! So I have an M3 Max MBP which I was planning on taking out to use while my son had his 4-hours-long archery class, but I've been using the Studio (running Tahoe) for development, and the version of Xcode running on there is too new for the version running on the MBP. So I try to update the MBP, but Settings thinks it's up to date: This is an M3 Max... so that seems ... unlikely. I've tried rebooting the thing, I've tried clicking any number of times on the 'check for updates' button, but no joy. Anyone got any pointers ?

I strongly dislike the new “Liquid Glass” design implementation, specifically the forced white border around app icons. I use custom app icons on my Home Screen, and the entire reason they work visually is because they do not have borders. The newly added white outline completely breaks the aesthetic, clashes with custom icon packs, and makes carefully curated Home Screens look messy and inconsistent. Beyond that, the “glass” effect itself is harder to appreciate in real-world use. Once you’re actually navigating your phone - opening apps, scrolling, switching screens- the effect becomes distracting rather than enhancing. The white border especially draws attention away from the icons themselves and makes the Home Screen feel visually noisy. What’s most frustrating is that this change is not optional. A major visual redesign like this should absolutely include: • A toggle to disable icon borders • Or a way to opt out of Liquid Glass entirely • Or at minimum, a “Classic / Flat Icons” option for users who value customization

Hey everyone. Ever since installed OS26 (and 26.1 now) - whenever I fast play any video on 1.25x, 1.5x, 2x on the AppleTV - the audio gets massively distorted on HomePods. Be it on YouTube, Difuse, or any supporting app. I even tried mirroring from iPhone -same issue. Anyone else experiencing the same? I noticed no posts about troubleshooting.

Since the last Mac software upgrade, PDF's off my IMac are not being printed or aligned correctly. I have multiple printers and multiple apps and it all prints the same. This is not a "printer driver" issue or an app issue. I am suspecting that this may be an issue since upgrading to Sequonia 15.4.1. Looking to see if others have had this issue. Thanks.

I have an app with a small but devoted following. It has not been upgraded since 2022 and has been working very well. On iOS 26 it crashes almost at startup. After hooking up to Xcode and running I get this message in the console: objc[64686]: Class PSSegment is implemented in both /System/Library/PrivateFrameworks/PolarisGraph.framework/PolarisGraph (0x291ed9f78) and /private/var/containers/Bundle/Application/08486FCF-548A-467C-8BA3-D722734463FC/HikeTracker.app/HikeTracker.debug.dylib (0x101d309e8). This may cause spurious casting failures and mysterious crashes. One of the duplicates must be removed or renamed. PSSegment is the name of an entity in my Core Data managed object model. If I refactor it to P_Segment the app starts. PolarisGraph means nothing to me. The "PS" stands for Persistent Store, but in this case it seems that PolarisGraph is PSing in my sandbox.
