iPadOS 26 TabBar text color can't be changed
Hello, I have been trying for some time to change the color of native UITabBar in UITabBarController through UITabBarAppearance, but nothing works and the text is still black in the Xcode Beta 3 on iPadOS 26 while it works correctly in the previous OS versions. Request Review alert is unresponsive in iOS 26.1

It was always tappable in all iOS versions that I remember. And there is no way to opt out, unless the user taps on the stars first. Is it a bug or a feature? Thanks for looking into it!

dropDestination does not work inside List
I've discovered an issue with using iOS 16's Transferable drag-and-drop APIs for SwiftUI. The dropDestination modifier does not work when applied to a subview of a List. This code below will not work, unless you replace the List with a VStack or any other container (which, of course, removes all list-specific rendering). Environment iOS 26 (23A343) Xcode 26 Reproduces on device and Simulator Description When presenting a SwiftUI WebView (native iOS 26 component) or a WKWebView/UIWebView via UIViewRepresentable, focusing a text field inside the web view and then dismissing it breaks the keyboard layout behavior. After returning to the main app, tapping any TextField causes the keyboard to cover bottom controls (e.g. buttons). Expected safe area insets are not applied. The issue is only resolved after closing and reopening the keyboard once. Steps to Reproduce Open a SwiftUI screen with WebView (via .sheet or NavigationLink). Inside the web view, tap a text field to show the keyboard. Dismiss the web view. Tap a TextField in the main app. Expected Result Layout should adjust correctly. Bottom controls stay visible above the keyboard. Actual Result Keyboard covers bottom controls. Insets are ignored until the keyboard is dismissed and reopened. WebView makes website content unaccessible on the top/bottom edges
I'm being faced with an issue when using SwiftUI's WebView on iOS 26. In many websites, the top/bottom content is unaccessible due to being under the app's toolbars. It feels like the WebView doesn't really understand the safe areas where it's being shown, because the content should start right below the navigation bar, and only when the user scrolls down, the content should move under the bar (but it's always reachable if the users scroll back up). Here's a demo of the issue: Here's a 'fix' by ensuring that the content of the WebView never leaves its bounds. VisionOS NavigationStack background cannot be removed?
I have a simple example to demonstrate... struct MyView: View { var body: some View { Text("WOW") } } struct MyOtherView: View { var body: some View { NavigationStack { Text("WOW") } } } On VisionOS, MyOtherView has a glass background effect that cannot be disabled. glassBackgroundEffect(displayMode: .never) .background(.clear), .foregroundColor(.clear), none of them work. I then resorted to the SwiftUIIntrospect package to try set .clear on various child objects of the NavigationStack but nothing is working. I am in control of my own glass containers. I have a couple with space between them, but with the NavigationStack it sets a background behind both of them ruining the effect. This is what MyOtherView renders as: I'm looking for it to be completely transparent except the text. Like the below layout. For now I will have to roll my own navigation.

Insight into BaseBoard/FrontBoardServices Crashes Needed
We're seeing a sharp uptick in BaseBoard/FrontBoardServices crashes since we migrated from UIApplicationDelegate to UIWindowSceneDelegate. Having exhausted everything on my end short of reverse engineering BaseBoard or making changes without being able to know if they work, I need help. I think all I need to get unstuck is an answer to these questions, if possible: What does -[BSSettings initWithSettings:] enumerate over? If I know what's being enumerated, I'll know what to look for in our app. What triggers FrontBoardServices to do this update? If I can reproduce the crash--or at least better understand when it may happen--I will be better able to fix it Here's two similar stack traces: App_(iOS)-crashreport-07-30-2025_1040-0600-redacted.crash App_(iOS)-crashreport-07-30-2025_1045-0600-redacted.crash Since these are private trameworks, there is no documentation or information on their behavior that I can find. There are other forum posts regarding this crash, on here and on other sites. However, I did not find any that shed any insight on the cause or conditions of the crash. Additionally, this is on iPhone, not macOS, and not iPad. This post is different, because I'm asking specific questions that can be answered by someone with familiarity on how these internal frameworks work. I'm not asking for help debugging my application, though I'd gladly take any suggestions/tips! Here's the long version, in case anyone finds it useful: In our application, we have seen a sharp rise in crashes in BaseBoard and FrontBoardServices, which are internal iOS frameworks, since we migrated our app to use UIWindowSceneDelegate. We were using exclusively UIApplicationDelegate before. The stack traces haven't proven very useful yet, because we haven't been able to reproduce the crashes ourselves. Upon searching online, we have learned that Baseboard/Frontsoardservices are probably copying scene settings upon something in the scene changing. Based on our crash reports, we know that most of our users are on an iPhone, not an iPad or macOS, so we can rule out split screen or window resizing. Our app is locked to portrait as well, so we can also rule out orientation changes. And considering the stack trace is in the middle of an objc_retain_x2 call, which is itself inside of a collection enumeration, we are assuming that whatever is being enumerated probably was changed or deallocated during enumeration. Sometimes it's objc_retain_x2, and sometimes it's a release call. And sometimes it's a completely different stack trace, but still within BaseBoard/FrontBoardServices. I suspect these all share the same cause. Because it's thread 0 that crashed, we know that BaseBoard/FrontBoardServices were running on the main thread, which means that for this crash to occur, something might be changing on a background thread. This is what leads me to suspect a race condition. There are many places in our app where we accidentally update the UI from a background thread. We've fixed many of them, but I'm sure there are more. Our app is large. Because of this, I think background UI are the most likely cause. However, since I can't reproduce the crash, and because none of our stack traces clearly show UI updates happening on another thread at the same time, I am not certain. Layout Engine Crash on iOS 26: NSInternalInconsistencyException
Starting with iOS 26 beta, I'm encountering an intermittent crash in production builds related to Auto Layout and background threading. This crash did not occur on iOS 18 or earlier and has become reproducible only on devices running iOS 26 betas. iOS 26 Beta 3 `safeAreaInsets`
I noticed that trying to access safeAreaInsets from the active window causes an infinite run loop. This issue appeared after updating to Beta 3. iPadOS 26 - Status bar overlaps with navigation bar
Hello, I'm experiencing a navigation bar positioning issue with my UIKit iPad app on iPadOS 26 (23A340) using Xcode 26 (17A321). The navigation bar positions under the status bar initially, and after orientation changes to landscape, it positions incorrectly below its expected location. This occurs on both real device (iPad mini A17 Pro) and simulator. My app uses UIKit + Storyboard with a Root Navigation Controller. List Section with Swipe Action - glitches
Overview I have an iOS project where I have a list with sections. Each cell in the section can be swiped to have some action What needs to be done When swipe button is pressed the cell needs to move from one section to the other without a UI glitch. SwiftUI iOS 26 .safeAreaBar issue with large navigation title
I have some really straight forward code in a sample project. For some reason when the app launches the title is blurred obscured by scrolledgeeffect blur. If I scroll down the title goes small as it should do and all looks fine. If I scroll back to the top, just before it reaches the top the title goes large and it looks correct, but once it actually reaches/snaps to the top, is then incorrectly blurs again. Is there anything obvious I'm doing wrong? [tvOS] ScrollView with Text does not scroll
I'm trying to do something so seemingly basic, yet I can't get it to work and I'm flummoxed. In a basic, vanilla SwiftUI app for tvOS, embed a single Text element with a very long string (hundreds of lines) in it: struct ContentView: View { var body: some View { ScrollView(.vertical) { Text(veryLargeString) .focusable() } } } Then fire up the app on tvOS, and it will not scroll. No matter what I do. Pressing arrow keys, swiping fast with my thumb, and nothing. It will not move. Ironically, in the Xcode SwiftUI Preview window—it does scroll, so that's always a fun tease. What I do know is that the focus engine is throwing a few errors, so it's leading me to believe the issue is with how I have the focusable element attached. I'm using a combination of -UIFocusLoggingEnabled YES as well as listening for UIFocusSystem.movementDidFailNotification. Unfortunately since this is SwiftUI, the notification failure and debugging logs aren't really all that actionable. Help appreciated!

PHPickerViewController unusable via Mac Catalyst on macOS 26 when interface is "Scaled to Match iPad"
There is a serious usability issue with PHPickerViewController in a UIKit app running on macOS 26 via Mac Catalyst when the Mac Catalyst interface is set to “Scaled to Match iPad”. Mouse click and other pointer interactions do not take place in the correct position. This means you have to click in the wrong position to select a photo and to close the picker. This basically makes it unusable. To demonstrate, use Xcode 26 on macOS 26 to create a new iOS app project based on Swift/Storyboard. Note that all pointer interactions are in the wrong place on the screen. This makes it nearly impossible to choose the correct photos and close the picker. Quit the app. Select the project and go to the General tab. In the "Deployment Info" change the “Mac Catalyst Interface” setting to “Optimize for Mac” and run the app again. Now the photo picker works just fine. If you run the app on a Mac running macOS 15 then the photo picker works just fine with either “Mac Catalyst Interface” setting. The problem only happens under macOS 26.0 (I do not have macOS 26.1 beta to test) when the “Mac Catalyst Interface” setting is set to “Scaled to Match iPad”. This is critical for my app. I cannot use “Optimize for Mac”. There are far too many issues with that setting (I use UIStepper and UIPickerView to start). So it is critical to the usability of my app under macOS 26 that this issue be resolved. It is expected that PHPickerViewController responds correctly to pointer events on macOS 26 when running a Mac Catalyst app set to “Scaled to Match iPad”. Combining Matched Geometry with New Zoom Navigation Transitions in iOS 18
With the introduction of the new matchedTransitionSource from iOS 18, we can apply a zoom transition in the navigation view using .navigationTransition(.zoom) This works well for zoom animations. However, when I try to apply a matched geometry effect to views that are similar in the source and destination views, the zoom transition works, but those views don't transition seamlessly as they do with a matched geometry effect. Is it possible to still use matched geometry for subviews of the source and destination views along with the new navigationTransition? Swift Charts - weak scrolling performance
Hello there! I wanted to give a native scrolling mechanism for the Swift Charts Graph a try and experiment a bit if the scenario that we try to achieve might be possible, but it seems that the Swift Charts scrolling performance is very poor. The graph was created as follows: X-axis is created based on a date range, Y-axis is created based on an integer values between moreless 0-320 value. the graph is scrollable horizontally only (x-axis), The time range (x-axis) for the scrolling content was set to one year from now date (so the user can scroll one year into the past as a minimum visible date (.chartXScale). The X-axis shows 3 hours of data per screen width (.chartXVisibleDomain). The data points for the graph are generated once when screen is about to appear so that the Charts engine can use it (no lazy loading implemented yet). The line data points (LineMark views) consist of 2880 data points distributed every 5 minutes which simulates - two days of continuous data stream that we want to present. The rest of the graph displays no data at all. The performance result: The graph on the initial loading phase is frozen for about 10-15 seconds until the data appears on the graph. Scrolling is very laggy - the CPU usage is 100% and is unacceptable for the end users. If we show no data at all on the graph (so no LineMark views are created at all) - the result is similar - the empty graph scrolling is also very laggy. Currently, I use UIKit CollectionView where we split the graph into smaller chunks of the graph and we present the SwiftUI Chart content in the cells, so we use the scrolling offered there. I wonder if it's possible to use native SwiftUI for such a scenario so that later on we could also implement some kind of lazy loading of the data as the user scrolls into the past.

App Clips don't work
We're building a UGC AR app and are leveraging App Clips to distribute AR experiences without app download. Since earlier this week, many of our users are reporting sharing experiences as App Clip doesn't work anymore. They are getting the message "AppClip unavailable" on a little card. We attached a QR code to try it yourself and a link to a different experience. We tested on many devices and on most, the AppClip is being displayed as unavailable, stating "App Clip unavailable", whereas it works on a few. It all worked fine last week (before September 12th). iPhone 13 Pro Max, iOS26: works iPhone SE, iOS 17: works iPhone 16 Pro, iOS 26: doesn't work iPhone 12 Pro Max, iOS 26: doesn't work iPhone 12 mini, iOS 18: does not work iPad 9th gen, iOS 26: doesn't work Please help. The Liquid glass blur effect does not show over the UITabBar as content scrolls underneath.
In iOS26, when using a standalone UITabBar without UITabBarController, the liquid glass blur effect is not applied when scrollable content moves behind the tab bar. However, the blur effect appears correctly when using UITabBarController.
