Environment
• Device: any iPhone running iOS 26 Developer Beta 5 (23A5308g)
• Xcode: 16.3
Short description
The app crashes the moment the user tries to long-press to select text inside a WKWebView, double-tap an image with Text (magnifier appears)
The exception is CALayer position contains NaN. frame = (nan,0;0,48) chorPoint=(inf, 0) and it is thrown in the UI process.
Build & run any project that hosts a WKWebView. Inject the following CSS via script (this is what we do to suppress the native callout menu):
WKWebView *webView = [[WKWebView alloc] initWithFrame:self.view.bounds
configuration:[WKWebViewConfiguration new]];
NSString *js =
@"document.documentElement.style.webkitUserSelect='none';"
"document.documentElement.style.webkitTouchCallout='none';";
[webView evaluateJavaScript:js completionHandler:nil];
[self.view addSubview:webView];

iOS 26 (from beta 1 to beta 2)
We have a VPN app that installs a per-app VPN profile with SafariDomains to filter Safari network traffic. This setup works as expected on iOS versions lower than 26.0.
See here more details on SafariDomains: https://developer.apple.com/business/documentation/Configuration-Profile-Reference.pdf
On iOS 26, all SafariDomains configured to go through the per-app VPN result in the following error: "Safari can’t open the page. The error was: Unknown Error"
Additional Details: Only SafariDomains encounter this error. Other managed apps traffic through the per-app VPN works correctly.
Steps to Reproduce:
Install the VPN app with a per-app VPN profile.
Configure SafariDomains with any URL (e.g., example.com).
Open Safari and navigate to the configured URL.
Example Configuration:
We tested with a simple example by adding only one URL to SafariDomains (example.com). Logs from the console were captured at the moment Safari opened and encountered the error.

Has anyone else encountered this issue on iOS 26? Any insights or solutions would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you!
Posting this here since Apple Discussion Forums kept deleting this citing it was a "developer issue" even though it's not and there's no way to appeal. Can someone help me?
I can't get 2FA SMS/Email Codes to autofill in Brave or Chrome as of this writing. Has anyone else had this issue?

Hi!
My SwiftUI app is a rather complex browser app. Starting with iOS 18, the app crashes due to repeted reloads of the WkWebView. I’ve tracked the issue as far as I can, but I still haven’t found the root cause.
My app is structured like this:
MainView holds a cuple of subviews. It also holds a @StateObject called viewModel that holds a lot of @Published vars. The viewModel is passed as a enivormentObject.
Example from ViewModel:
@MainActor class ViewModel: NSObject, ObservableObject {
@Published public var isLoading: Bool = false
@Published public var loadProgress: Double? = 0
public func setIsLoading(_ value: Bool) async {
self.isLoading = value
}
public func setLoadProgress(_ value: Double?) async {
self.loadProgress = value
}
}
WebView is a subview of MainView, which holds a navigation bar, and a UIViewRepresentable, which is a WkWebView.
The WkWebView pushes some states to the ViewModel as the underlying values of the WkWebView changes, i.e. estimaedProgress, and isLoading. This is done via KVO and works like this:
estimatedProgressObservation = self.parent.webView.observe(\.estimatedProgress) { webView, progress in
Task {
await parent.viewModel.setLoadProgress(webView.estimatedProgress)
}
}
isLoadingObservation = self.parent.webView.observe(\.isLoading) { webView, value in
Task {
await parent.viewModel.setIsLoading(webView.isLoading)
}
}
By using a timer in WkWebViews Coordinator, i trigger a load after a configurable amount of time :
func loadUrl(url: URL) {
DispatchQueue.main.async {
console.info("Load URL: ...", sensitive: "Load URL: \(url.absoluteString)")
let policy: NSURLRequest.CachePolicy
if self.parent.settings.noCache {
policy = .reloadIgnoringLocalAndRemoteCacheData
} else {
policy = .useProtocolCachePolicy
}
let request = URLRequest(url: url, cachePolicy: policy)
self.parent.webView.load(request)
}
}
Running the app with the automatic reload enabled freezes the app after a couple of hours. It also seems to freeze Safari on the device. The device needs to be rebooted.
If I inspect the device's running processes, hundreds of ”com.apple.webkit. web content " processes are running.
Removing await parent.viewModel.setLoadProgress(webView.estimatedProgress) and await parent.viewModel.setIsLoading(webView.isLoading) fixes the issue, but it is necessary for other app functions. Therefore, is suspect that the viewModel somehow causes the bug.
The issue arises after a couple of loads 5-10. The debugger shows a message when the processes start to pile up. I suspect its related.
Failed to terminate process: Error Domain=com.apple.extensionKit.errorDomain Code=18 "(null)" UserInfo={NSUnderlyingError=0x12d0e7f60 {Error Domain=RBSServiceErrorDomain Code=1 "Client not entitled" UserInfo={RBSEntitlement=com.apple.runningboard.terminateprocess, NSLocalizedFailureReason=Client not entitled, RBSPermanent=true}}}
How can I find out what causes the suspected memory leak? Instruments gives me nothing of value. The memory leak wasn't present in iOS 17. Is this a bug in iOS 18, or was something intentionally changed?
We would like to confirm the unsubscribe flow related to recurring payment processing.
When a user unsubscribes, does your system send any notification to us?
If no notification is provided, we will not be able to detect the unsubscribe event and will continue to send recurring payment requests to the gateway periodically. Would this cause any issues?
We would appreciate it if you could share the specific unsubscribe flow with us.
Thank you in advance for your support.
Hello Apple Developer Team,
I would love to see iCloud Keychain Autofill and Touch ID support extended to Chromium-based browsers on macOS (such as Ecosia, Brave, or Vivaldi).
Currently, Safari allows autofill of passwords using Touch ID, but when using other browsers, I have to manually copy-paste credentials from Keychain Access, which is time-consuming.
Would it be possible for Apple to provide an API or framework that allows non-WebKit browsers to integrate iCloud Keychain autofill while keeping security intact?
This feature would make macOS more convenient for users who prefer alternative browsers while keeping security standards high.
Thanks in advance for considering this!
Best regards, Kilian
It seems that in iOS 18.5+ built with Xcode 16.4+, there has been a breaking change since 18.4 with 16.3 within WebKit and how the navigationAction.sourceFrame property is initialized when implementing the decidePolicy delegate method.
The flow goes:
Implement a WKNavigationActionDelegate with decidePolicy
Call WKWebView.loadHTMLString("some-string", baseURL: nil)
Upon loading the HTML content, read the value of navigationAction.sourceFrame within the decidePolicy method of the WKNavigationActionDelegate
On iOS 18.4 (and below) with Xcode 16.3 (and below);
navigationAction.sourceFrame is <uninitialized>
On iOS 18.5+ with Xcode 16.4+:
navigationAction.sourceFrame is already initialized and is equal to navigationAction.targetFrame
It appears that this change was made between minor versions of Xcode and is unexpected behavior of a minor version. Not only was this not called out in the release notes for Xcode 16.4 and iOS 18.5, but it's technically also a breaking change to the WebKit API.
Can we get insight on why this change was made and what Apple's policy is on breaking changes between minor versions of Xcode/iOS?

Hello,
When I view my website (lasaluade) on iphone or ipad the top of my page bodies are cut off (3-4 first lines). However, on PC, Mac or Android everything is OK (see screenshots).
For the record, I built this site with Wordpress and Divi Builder, and I've the same result on Safari and Chrome.
Not being a developer, I don't know where to look (I just think it's iOS-related).
Have you already had this problem? Do you have any ideas?
Thanks for your help!

I have a website I’m working on that uses WordPress and element mentor pro. Basically everything is custom HTML in individual containers and custom CSS for each page.
The problem that I’m running into is there needs to be a pop-up and the easiest way to do that is just use the element or proper pop-ups however, the overlay is not extending into the safe areas on the bottom or top notch. I’ve been trying to figure out a way to fix this, and I cannot get it to work. I’ve tried having CSS in every imaginable way to get it to extend the overlay..
The other issue is for this website there is no header. It’s just a container that’s the hero content and for some reason that also will not extend into the top-notch safe area. It extends to the bottom notch just fine but not the top notch and there’s just a white bar there where I prefer it be the background gradient that I have set up for the hero however, nothing I do will get it to push into that top notch safe area either.
Hoping someone else had this issue and can help me out

We are experiencing a problem that seems to be caused by a specification changes for Safari.
We would like to discuss how to solve this problem.
Sample JavaScript:
<html>
<head>
<script>
function jumpPage(code) {
document.main.code.value = code;
win1=window.open("","win1","toolbar=no,resizable=yes,menubar=no,scrollbars=yes,status=yes,left=0,top=0");
win1.resizeTo(width=screen.availWidth,height=screen.availHeight);
document.main.action="details";
document.main.target="win1";
document.main.submit();
}
</script>
</head>
<body>
<form name="main" method="post" action="" target="">
<a href="javascript:jumpPage('001')">details</a>
<input type="hidden" name="code" value="">
</body>
</html>
This JavaScript performs the following actions when a link is clicked.
Open a window using window.open in JavaScript
Submit the above opened window by post method to the target in JavaScript.
When this operation is performed, the process in (2) could submit to the
target page with “POST” method before iOS18.1, but
will transition to the page with“GET”method from iOS18.2 onward.
All protocols are http.
This problem does not occur if the URL is specified as an IP address, but it does occur if the host name is specified as.
Please let me know how to use with“POST”method as in iOS 18.2 or earlier.
Best regards,

I'm creating an iPad app using Xcode 26 Beta 6. I have the following simple code and web page, but when I tap the file selection button, nothing appears. Do I need to add any additional code?
code
struct SwiftUIWebView: View {
@State private var webPage = WebPage()
private let url = URL(string: "https://www.xxxx.com/")!
var body: some View {
WebView(webPage)
.onAppear {
webPage.load(URLRequest(url: url))
}
}
}
web page

<head>
<meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; charset=UTF-8" />

</style>
</head>
<body>

When we embed some of the youtube videos are unable to load in the Mobile app but at the same time it works in Website. I need to allow it in both places.
I have tried both embed and native sdk for youtube in iOS.
In my chat web app I have button to upload images. On iOS in Safari I can see action sheet with "Media library", "Caption image or video", "Open files". Can I prevent opening this action sheet and directly open media library using HTML or JavaScript?
So I have web Augmented Reality apps hosted on AWS S3. It worked fine for a month, but as soon as the IOS 18.4 update was installed they stopped working. It works on every other device and IOS versions.
The URLs for the mentioned AR experiences:
digitechonline.in/solsprefimaginewt8/
digitechonline.in/solsprefimaginewt8p2/
digitechonline.in/orocarear/
These AR experiences get stuck on the loading screen and either reload or give an error. Ideally the camera is supposed to open.
I have tested it on Safari, Microsoft Edge and Google Chrome browsers.
They were created through Unity webgl and hosted on AWS S3 bucket. Please provide a quick solution to this.
Our UI-less share extension (com.apple.services) appears in Safari and Chrome. We raise a popup "Open in (app)..." via the Action.js script document.location.href = urlScheme://... in Safari.
However, in Chrome, while our extension executes, parses the URL item attachment from Chrome, it never triggers that popup or opens our app.
How can a UI-less share extension open our app from Chrome?
Is the accepted practice, despite guidelines, turning the com.apple.ui-services view controller invisible and auto-openURLing? Several apps on the store appear to do this, immediately popping their app without any confirmation dialog or UI in both Safari and Chrome. https://stackoverflow.com/a/79369242
Doc URL: https://developer.apple.com/documentation/applepayontheweb/requesting-an-apple-pay-payment-session
How can I send a POST request using PHP, and what certificates are required?
Currently, I have downloaded the following files on the backend: merchant_id.cer, apple_pay.cer, and a local cert.p12 file
This my code:
But,run error:cURL Error: unable to set private key file: '***/private.pem' type PEM%
Bit of an odd one here, just keen to understand if it’s just me or a more generic issue.
For all other apps, I can drag the icon from the dock to place into stage manager left, centre or right.
However when I try to do the same with Safari (and only Safari), it just doesn’t work at all.
I can repeat this 100%, has been an issue with 26.0, 26.1 and now 26.2. Can confirm this isn’t a problem on my 11” M4 iPad pro running same O/S.
Here is a video showing the issue (YouTube)

Hey everyone,
After installing iOS 26 beta, I started noticing unexpected behavior in our input event handlers.
Specifically, when users type into an field, event.target.value is always an empty string — but only when the JS file is loaded from a specific domain (e.g., t1.daumcdn.net). The exact same code works perfectly when hosted on other domains like t2.daumcdn.net or search1.daumcdn.net.
👉 I created a demo here:
🔗 https://codepen.io/bzasklcu-the-sans/pen/rNXogxL
The scripts loaded from each domain are 100% identical (apart from the top-level selector). Before iOS 26 beta, this worked fine.
I suspect this is related to ITP or some new cross-origin behavior in Safari, but I’d love to know if anyone else is running into this — or if someone knows a workaround.
Thanks!
Hello Apple App Review Team,
We are using Privy to enable sign in with Farcaster in our app. Privy is a 3rd party authentication SDK, and it currently opens the authentication URL using the system browser.
Unfortunately, this behavior is handled internally by Privy and we do not have access or control to override it in order to present the sign-in flow in-app using SFSafariViewController.
We understand the importance of maintaining a seamless and secure user experience, and we fully support the use of SFSafariViewController or ASWebAuthenticationSession. However, since Privy does not expose an option to change this behavior at the moment, we are limited by their current implementation.
We have reached out to the Privy team requesting a change or improvement that would allow us to use SFSafariViewController instead of the external browser. In the meantime, we would appreciate your guidance on how to proceed, or whether an exception could be granted due to this 3rd party SDK limitation.
Thank you for your understanding and support.
