Hello All
I'm encountering an issue with Keychain access in iOS simulators after reinstalling Xcode. My app successfully accesses the Keychain on physical devices, but simulators consistently fail with errors.
Details:
App uses Keychain to store API keys
Works perfectly on physical devices
After Xcode reinstall, simulator Keychain access fails
Error logs show "Keychain retrieve failed for key with status: -25300"
I've properly configured Keychain Sharing entitlements
My entitlements file includes: $(AppIdentifierPrefix)*******
What I've tried:
Resetting simulators
Deleting simulator Keychain databases manually
Adding Keychain Sharing capability
Ensuring entitlements are correct
My app worked fine with simulators before reinstalling Xcode, which suggests something changed in the development environment rather than my code.
Has anyone encountered similar issues? Is there a recommended approach for handling Keychain access in simulators that's more resilient to Xcode environment changes?
Thanks for your help!

After update to Xcode 16.3, any breakpoints stopped in simulator and device. The scheme is configured to Debug in Build Configurator.

Hi,
I'm developing an iOS/WatchOS app and have an issue with Preview for WatchOS components.
The error message is
Could not find target description for “ContentView.swift”
Preview for all other views in the iOS app work fine.
Also, the app builds and runs fine on the watch simulator and a physical watch. Preview worked fine earlier today and I didn't exclude it in EXCLUDED_SOURCE_FILE_NAMES.
Does anyone have an idea what causes this issue?

When I use Xcode to develop the apps, the connection to my own Apple Watch is failed. The simulator has been downloaded, but it still displayed"watchOS10.0 Not Installed". The developer options were opened, I click the"trust this computer" but it always display"Connecting to *** Apple Watch". My iPhone can be connected normally.
Environment
Xcode version: Xcode 16.0
iOS device system version: iOS 18.4 / 18.5
Problem description
When debugging iOS 18.4/18.5 on a real device, the App starts very slowly after clicking Run, usually taking 2-3 minutes, which is much slower than iOS 18.3. It manifests as Xcode staying in the Launch stage for a long time, and the application stuck in the opening screen interface. Start the APP first, then attach the process, and this problem will not exist
Location process
Use lldb to enable logs log enable gdb-remote packets
After observing the logs, it was found that:
The jam mainly occurs when processing two data packets:
jGetLoadedDynamicLibrariesInfos and qProcessInfo
These two commands involve dynamic library loading information and process meta information, and the response time is much higher than the normal level, far exceeding other gdb-remote instructions
Use Instruments / Profiler to analyze:
The CPU peak of the real machine debugserver is concentrated in the dynamic library information loading process of _dyld_process_info_create
Is there a way to deploy a modified debugserver on the real machine to further locate the problem
How to enable and view the debugsever log to further locate the problem
We using below command to run unit test and collect coverage:
xcodebuild -workspace Demo.xcworkspace -scheme VideoTests -configuration Debug -derivedDataPath ../build/derivedData -destination 'platform=iOS Simulator,id=E6630007-570B-4DEB-A023-2BCE91116A8D' -resultBundlePath './fastlane/test_output/VideoTests.xcresult' -enableCodeCoverage YES -testPlan 'Video' test-without-building | tee '/Users/rcadmin/Library/Logs/scan/VideoTests.log' | xcbeautify -q --is-ci
and using xcrun llvm-cov show command to generate coverage report:
xcrun llvm-cov show /build/unit-test/coverage/libraries/merged/video.o -instr-profile=/app/ios/build/derivedData/Build//ProfileData/E6630007-570B-4DEB-A023-2BCE91116A8D/video.profdata -show-branches count -show-expansions -show-line-counts -use-color -format=html -output-dir coverage
and the html report does not include branch coverage:
how to generate the branch coverage?

Hi, I'm trying to plan some roadmaps out and also have some issues with ios 15.0. Since it's no longer supported by Apple, any word on if/when iOS 15.0 will be removed from the "minimum deployment" version list in Xcode?

Hi everyone,
We're developing an AR app using Unity with Vuforia for object detection. Our app works well in full-screen mode, including detection and post-detection phases. However, we're facing a specific issue in iPad Split View multitasking mode.
Problem:
The AR camera (Vuforia-based) freezes during object detection if another app is opened in Split View.
Post-detection, everything works fine in Split View. The problem only occurs during detection.
Testing Environment:
iPadOS 16+
Unity with Vuforia plugin
Using EnableMultitaskingCameraAccess() method with AVFoundation to support camera multitasking
AR scene is set up properly with detection capabilities in full-screen
Xcode is stuck on sign-in window of adding a new Apple Account. Returns "unknown error occurred" after couple of hours

Hi everyone, I’ve been trying since yesterday to set up an Apple Watch app alongside my iOS app, but it’s not working at all. I created the app by adding a new target, selected watchOS > App, and linked it to my iOS project. When I run the Apple Watch scheme directly, the app works, but if I try to install it on my Apple Watch via the iOS app, it doesn’t work. Every time I tap install, I get a message saying that the installation failed. While reading the documentation, they mention an Info.plist file that is supposed to be generated with the watchOS app, but when I check, I don’t see any .plist file. Is that normal? Thanks for your help.

I am encountering an issue while running my CarPlay app in the simulator using CPListTemplate. On app launch, when I tap on the first item in the list and then tap on the second item, both items remain selected instead of only the latest tapped item.
This behavior does not align with the expected single-item selection functionality. Has anyone else faced this issue? Is there a workaround or a known resolution for this behavior?
Our business is to scan the code to open App Clip, but then App Clip will appear in App Library and Siri Suggestions. This can be opened quickly, but the URL of the last scan will be included. This will cause a problem, for example: if the previous scan was code A, but the user does not scan code B when going to place B and directly opens it through App Library or Siri Suggestions, the code I get is still code A, so the result I want is that I want to know where it was opened from, and then if it is opened quickly, I will clear the URL and remind the user to scan the code again. Or if it is opened by quick opening, do not include the URL

Hi,
We are facing issues on ios simulators os version 18, "Simulator device failed to install the application. Failed to create promise. Underlying error (domain=IXErrorDomain, code=2):"
Due to this error simulator is unable to install the application. we are facing this intermittently.
xcode version : Xcode.16.0.0.16A242d.app
ios simulator runtime : com.apple.CoreSimulator.SimRuntime.iOS-18-0
ios simulator : com.apple.CoreSimulator.SimDeviceType.iPhone-16
mac os version : macOS 15.4
we have tried upgrading to xcode Xcode.16.1.0.16B40.app and ios simulator runtime to 18.1 but its not working. Also we have rebooted xcode, not helping.
