Error Message - Rork Publishing in Apple IOS
Hi, I keep getting an error message when I try to publish my App made with Rork into Apple IOS. Message reads "Submission failed: Submission failed. Contact support. Don’t dump it on Rork — it won’t fix this. We still need a human." Any help with this would be appreciated. I am using Microsoft edge and have also used Google Chrome.

Unable to open mach-O at path
Hi, there's this point at which a beginner needs to beg for help. Unable to open mach-O at path: /Library/Caches/com.apple.xbs/Binaries/RenderBox/install/Root/System/Library/PrivateFrameworks/RenderBox.framework/default.metallib Error:2 I get this everytime I select a month and year on a custom date picker, I believe because I try to force the ".generateChartData()" for the chart to update. I guess the problem might be that the ".onAppear" and ".onChange" are conflicting with each other? } .onChange(of: showDatePicker) { viewModel.startDate = selectedDate viewModel.generateChartData() } } .onAppear { viewModel.generateChartData() }

Update metadata for an already submitted feedback
I submitted a Feedback (FB17843422) on Monday evening after the keynote about Tahoe beta 1. At the time it still wasn't listed in the "What build does the issue occur on?" dropdown. I selected "I'm not sure" instead hoping I could update it later but as far as I can tell that isn't the case since "Add more information" only lets me add additional comments. Is there some way for me to do that or is it even necessary?

Create Ios app using Xojo
I have created and Ios app using xojo, and run using the Xcode simulator. I want to test it on my phone and don't seed to put it on the app store as it is for personal use. I've seen pages that indicate a free apple developer option is available for a limited time but can't for the live of me get my app to actually run on my phone. I've tried both apple configurator and xcode to add my app with no luck

How do I get HomeKit accessories to show up in the iOS Simulator?
I'm finding developing for HomeKit using the iOS Simulator utterly confounding. All of my home's actual HomeKit accessories show up fine when I run the HomeKit app I'm developing on my actual phone. But none show up when I run my app in the iOS Simulator. Maybe that's how it's supposed to be? I decided to run the HomeKit Accessory Simulator in an attempt to get something to show up in the iOS Simulator, but the accessories I've created there don't show up in the Simulator either. How do I get devices to show up in the iOS Simulator? Thanks.

Errors after importing plugins on other machines via source control
We are trying to setup Apple Unity Plugins, in out project we have a handful of developers who contribute to the project via git. When building and importing plugins via tarball (as instructed in the Github repo) the package clearly points to local path, so once pushed all members encounter the error: An error occurred while resolving packages: Project has invalid dependencies: com.apple.unityplugin.accessibility: Tarball package [com.apple.unityplugin.accessibility] cannot be found at path ..... When trying to actually move content to the package folder (same way as any other unity plugins is setup) and add it as "embedded", it works fine on local machine, but team members will get a few of errors: [Apple Unity Plug-ins] No Apple native plug-in libraries found. DLLNotFoundException: AppleCoreNativeMac assembly ... No Apple Native plug-in libraries found. Moreover AppleCoreNativeMac.bundle is flag as not verified and deleted by macOS. What is the right way to setup unity plugins in a project used by multiple members via sourcetree ?

Windows 11 Support in macOS Virtualization Framework
Hello, According to the official documentation, the macOS Virtualization Framework currently supports only macOS and Linux guest operating systems. I would like to know if there is any way—officially or through a supported workaround—to run Windows 11 as a guest using this framework. Additionally, is there any indication or roadmap suggesting that support for Windows guests might be introduced in a future release, such as in macOS 16? Any insights or official clarification would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Where's the replacement for Quartz Debug?
Hi, This can't be right. Is there really no replacement for Quartz Debug?!? As the sole developer on a project who has an Intel Mac and Quartz Debug, I am basically a god now. Everyone else has Apple Silicon and... I think they're randomly guessing at this point. Because I have entire teams sending me Intel Mac builds of stuff just so I can test it in QD. This is THE TOOL we used at NewTek to find performance issues, and THE TOOL I used for a dozen companies after that, to help them with similar issues. If there's no replacement, is there a reason there's no replacement? This feels like a massive step backwards, having to guess at problems like this. -Chilton

Could you please add a feedback/question feature for the Apple Developer Documentation?
Routinely I'll have additional questions when browsing the Apple Developer Documentation. Would be really convenient if we could just submit that feedback from the documentation webpage itself, Apple could have the data, and potentially down the line address it; but at least you'd have the data. For example, I'm looking at the documentation for AttributedString: https://developer.apple.com/documentation/foundation/attributedstringprotocol/index(_:offsetbycharacters:) Now, I would like to know what would happen if the distance brought the position past the end, what would be returned. Because it's non-optional which I imagine would imply nil would be returned if the parameters were invalid. But it doesn't say. I run into these small missing behavioral details with some regularity and imagine others do as well. It would be really great if we could just submit that discrepancy and perhaps see some numbers on the page of the total number of discrepancies submitted or something so we can see that it's not just us and have some peace of mind that based on the amount of feedback submitted there's a higher chance that this discrepancy will be addressed in the future.

Request for clarification of Developer mode
Hi Guys, I want to support my client for enable the developer mode, But they not accept to connect with any other devices(Mac Xcode) to enable developer mode. They are nearly 10 people to enable developer mode. But I think without mac we can't enable developer mode in some of devices. So I need a clarification with IOS versions. That's only we are excepting to list out which IOS versions don't have developer mode option default. Why does a Swift test think my simple struct is main actor-isolated?
My experience with Swift 6 strict concurrency so far doesn't match my understanding of implicit MainActor isolation semantics. This is a cross-post from StackOverflow. I will link answers between both forums. TL;DR Build succeeds when testing a struct declared in the test module, but fails when the struct is moved to the main module: Main actor-isolated property … cannot be accessed from outside the actor. Steps to reproduce Open up Xcode 26 beta 2 on macOS 26 (probably also ok on current stables). Create a new Swift app with Swift testing, no storage. Call it WhatTheSwift. Set the Swift Language Version on all three targets to Swift 6. Update the default test file to be this: import Testing @testable import WhatTheSwift struct WhatTheSwiftTests { @Test func example() async throws { let thing = Thing(foo: "bar") #expect(thing.foo == "bar") } } struct Thing { let foo: String } That should build fine, and the tests should pass. Now, move the Thing declaration into its own Thing.swift file in the WhatTheSwift module, and try running the test again. You should see this: Observations Marking the test @MainActor allows the test to pass, suggesting the compiler actually wants to isolate Thing.foo to the main actor. My question Why? And why only when Thing is in a different module?

Capacitor iOS Plugin with MobileVLCKit – Swift Plugin Not Recognized from Angular
Hi everyone, I'm developing a Capacitor plugin to display an RTSP video stream using MobileVLCKit on iOS. The Android side works perfectly, but I can’t get the iOS plugin to work — it seems my Swift file is not being detected or recognized, even though I’ve followed the official steps. What works: I followed the Capacitor Plugin Development Guide. I implemented the Android version of the plugin in Java inside the android/ folder. Everything works perfectly from Angular: the plugin is recognized and calls execute correctly. The issue on iOS: I implemented the iOS part in Swift, using the official MobileVLCKit documentation. I initially placed my RtspVlcPlugin.swift file in the plugin’s iOS folder, as the docs suggest. Then I moved it directly into the main app’s ios/App/App/ folder next to AppDelegate.swift and tried manual registration. The problem: Even though I manually register the plugin with: if let bridge = self.window?.rootViewController as? CAPBridgeViewController { bridge.bridge?.registerPluginInstance(RtspVlcPlugin()) print("✅ Plugin RtspVlcPlugin registered manually.") } It prints the registration message just fine. BUT from Angular, the plugin is not recognized: Capacitor.Plugins.RtspVlcPlugin has no methods, and I get this error: "code":"UNIMPLEMENTED" I also tried declaring @objc(RtspVlcPlugin) and extending CAPPlugin. I’ve verified RtspVlcPlugin.swift is added to the target and compiled. The Swift file doesn’t seem to register or expose any methods to Angular. I even tried adding the code without using a plugin at all — just creating a Swift class and using it via the AppDelegate, but it still doesn't expose any callable methods. That makes me believe the problem lies in how the Swift file is integrated or registered, rather than how it is used from Angular. I’d appreciate any guidance on how to properly expose a Swift-based Capacitor plugin’s methods so that they are accessible from Angular. Is there any additional registration step or metadata I might be missing on the iOS side?

Unexpected timezone issues
Hi, my server in Melbourne Australia is getting weather forecasts from a few places around Australia. When I look at the daily timesteps that I get back, they might be something like this: "days": [ { "forecastStart": "2025-06-25T00:00:00Z", "forecastEnd": "2025-06-26T00:00:00Z", "daytimeForecast": { "forecastStart": "2025-06-25T07:00:00Z", "forecastEnd": "2025-06-25T19:00:00Z", "overnightForecast": { "forecastStart": "2025-06-25T19:00:00Z", "forecastEnd": "2025-06-26T07:00:00Z",} It doesn't matter where I ask for - Melbourne, Darwin, Perth, it always comes back the same. The documentation says that daytimeForecast is 7 am to 7 pm local and overnightForecast is 7pm to 7 am local. However, in a place like Perth 7-19Z is 3 pm to 3 am, not 7 pm to 7 am like advertised. I can see that for any given date, there are 3 maximum temperature forecasts, a 24 hour max, a daytime max and an overnight max and they differ from each other. Can anyone help me understand what's happening here? And furthermore in the example above, the 24 hour forecasts that have, for example this: "forecastStart": "2025-06-25T00:00:00Z" ... Can the 00:00:00Z be trusted literally? Or is it more the case that it's "2025-06-25" but the HMS got tacked on in a conversion?

Immediate crash of Apple Watch simulator when typing a key
I get a crash in Apple Watch simulator (Series 9 45mm 18.0) as soon as the app launch if I type anything on external keyboard (just hitting command key for instance to capture a screenshot). Same crash on series 7 (45mm, OS 18.1) But app works normally when I use mouse to interact with the app on simulator. App does not crash on real device (Watch 4 OS 10.4.1). Nor does it crash on Series 6 simulator (44 mm OS 17.4). Here are the log I could collect (apparently, they contain sensitive language !!! so I attach as a file.: Attached logs

Apple SDKs should provide libunwind_ext.h on macOS
(Copy pasted from FB17261080 that I submitted) Hi: Apple's SDK (libSystem.B.tbd) provides definition for multiple symbols(__unw_add_dynamic_fde / __unw_add_find_dynamic_unwind_sections ), but doesn't provide corresponding headers, available in LLVM upstream as libunwind_ext.h We need such headers to write Exception-Enabled JIT Framework for macOS

Installer package is terminated after 600 seconds
Hi, I have an installer package that runs a postinstall script. The script can take a long time to complete, as one thing it does is copy about 10-30 GB of files using the rsync tool. We noticed on macOS 15 that the installer would fail almost exactly 10 minutes after it started. Looking in the /var/log/install.log, I see a message like this: 2025-07-01 12:54:32-07 Work-M1 package_script_service[21562]: PackageKit: Terminating PKInstallTask(pid:21573). Task has exceeded its 600 seconds of runtime. This does not happen in my testing on macOS 12 (Monterey) I have a few questions about this: A) Is this documented, and which OS introduced this? B) Is there a way a developer can extend or disable the time limit via a setting in the installer package. Or if not, is there a way end end user can disable it temporarily on their system? If you have code to package as a framework which has a 3rd party dependency, what can you do given that iOS doesn't support umbrella frameworks
I've got a large and complex app which has several dependencies upon 3rd party libraries (installed as pods). The app is structured according to Model-View-Controller design and there is a requirement to implement the Model part as an .xcframework so it can be included and used in the original app along with a few new apps. However, Apple documentation states that umbrella frameworks are not supported (Technical Note TN2435). The Model code has several dependencies which would be totally unfeasible to replace or remove, for example it uses RealmSwift for database storage. Obviously it would be impossible to write one's own database storage scheme in place of using Realm. However, if my framework uses Realm as a dependency, then its now become an umbrella framework. So therefore not supported according to Apple documentation. So what are options/solutions?
