Active Paid Subscriptions dropped to 0 suddenly on App Store Connect
Hello, I noticed that on September 18, 2025, my Active Paid Subscriptions metric in App Store Connect suddenly dropped to 0 (-100%). However, my subscribers are still active and visible in RevenueCat and Superwall, which both confirm that users have not canceled their subscriptions. This makes me believe it is an App Store Connect reporting issue rather than an actual churn. Could you please confirm if this is a known data delay/bug, and let me know when the metric will be corrected? Thank you for your help

Files app iOS 26
Ok, so I’ve downloaded iOS 26 for the iPhone and iPad and there are a couple of points bugging me. Why oh why would somebody think that it was a good idea to remove the ability to scroll through photos in a folder in files? Where in their tiny minds did they think that opening a photo, viewing said photo, then closing photo to then open the next photo in sequence was a better or more productive way than just swiping left and right? I mean, seriously!!! And why the need for a separate Preview app when it worked fine opening files in the Files app?! I deleted the Preview app from my iPhone to see what difference it would make, but alas it made things worse. Now, because there’s no Preview app, Files wants to open my photos in an image editing app called Afterlite! I checked settings for the files app, and the only options I have for opening photos are Afterlite (which it’s decided to make default), the Photoshop app, or iMovie! Does anyone have any ideas how to get photos stored in the Files app to open IN the Files app or at least the Photos app? Just when I thought they’d come to their senses and sorted out that god awful iOS 18 Photos app, they go and do something like this! Also, can someone explain to me what the point is of having a month and year view in the Photos app? When I sort by month and pick a particular month or date in a month, instead of showing just those images taken that month, it just takes you back to the view with ALL of your photos? Surely if you have thousands of photos on your device and you want to see only photos on a particular date, it would make sense to show only the photos from that date. Even if it generated automatic albums under the album view for each month and year that would be something!

SSC Distinguished Winner here😃! I created the1st game 100 % using Apple Pencil to interact. Interested in joining our DC?
Hey everyone, I'm beyond excited to share that I've been selected as a Distinguished Winner in this year's Swift Student Challenge! 🎉 It all started last summer, in the middle of a Western Culture class. I was zoning out , and my attention drifted to the Apple Pencil in my hand. And then ,it hit me — this thing is literally a next-level game controller. Think about it: pixel-perfect precision, haptic feedback, multiple built-in sensors... Why aren't we using this for gaming? And that got me thinking — why have we spent the last 500 years treating the "pencil" as just a tool for creation, and not for play? Since graphite pencils were invented in 1564, we've had this incredibly natural way to interact with 2D and 3D space... and nobody's fully tapped into it for games. So, I did something about it. I built a game that's 100% controlled by the Apple Pencil yep, just the Pencil. I know what you're thinking: "How does that even work??" And honestly, I'd love to tell you... but I'm in the final stages of getting it onto the App Store, and it should be live within the next couple of weeks. So for now... 🤐😄 In the meantime, I've set up a Discord server for anyone who's curious about the gameplay, the design, or just wants to brainstorm ideas with me. If you're into creative controls, game design, or just want to hang — come join the conversation! [Join the Discord here!] https://discord.gg/5Rm8WKbekf Can't wait to share more soon!

macOS 26 Tahoe beta 1 - Cannot login
A few days ago I installed beta 1 of macOS 26 Tahoe on a spare MacBook Pro 14-inch M4. Everything went well, and it looks okay (well, I don't like it at all, but hey-ho), and I shut it down. I started it up today, and it rejects my login password every time, then locks my account. When I click the link to "Restart and show password reset options" I'm asked for my Apple ID details, so I enter the correct email and password, then the MBP reboots and I'm back on the login screen with no indication that anything has changed. Guess I'm stuck now... FB18364657

What is Apple going to do about Rork Max
I’m new to the forums, and I hope this is the right place to ask this question. Yesterday, a platform called Rork released a new feature in their web‑based app‑building tool. According to their announcement and user comments on X/Twitter, people with no coding experience are now able to generate fully native iOS apps written in Swift and distribute them across Apple’s ecosystem—reportedly without using any Apple hardware. Some users who already have access to Rork Max claim they were able to create multiple apps within a few hours and successfully submit them to the App Store. If these claims are accurate, this seems like a significant shift in how native iOS apps can be created and published. I’m curious whether anyone here has insight into: How this aligns with Apple’s existing App Store Review Guidelines Whether generating Swift apps without Apple hardware is technically feasible or compliant Any potential implications for app quality, security, or developer identity requirements I’d appreciate any clarification or perspective from more experienced developers. Also, I’m also concerned that this could lead to a surge of very low‑quality apps from people primarily chasing quick revenue. If tools like this make it possible to publish apps with minimal effort or understanding of iOS development, it may have implications for overall App Store quality and review workload. I’m interested in hearing how Apple and experienced developers view this possibility, and whether existing guidelines are equipped to handle a large influx of rapidly generated apps.

What is it so hard to develop on the Watch?
I am trying to develop a Watch and iOS app as companion. It is beyond stupid how I can not keep the watch connected to Xcode to develop. I have tried all the so-called tricks. Why is this so fragile? The phone is USB connected to my Mac I have tried turning off the wifi on my Mac and have the phone and watch on the same network. Nada I have tried just having everything on the same network. The watch is connected maybe 20% of the time. I have tried creating a hotspot network with my phone. The watch is connected maybe 50% of the time. This is truly an awful experience. Am I doing something wrong? Any advice would be grateful.

What Xcode version will be used for SSC evaluation?
Hello! Because the compilers used by different versions of Xcode 26 may be different, and I find that my app may not be able to ensure that all versions of Xcode 26 are successfully compiled. For example, my app can run on Xcode26.3 but will report an error at 26.4 (I have fixed it now). So I want to confirm which version of Xcode the jury uses to run my app, whether it is a known version or the latest version in the future. Thanks!

Issue getting back only a subset of product IDs for purchase controller
As of today we seem to continuously get back 21 of the product IDs we have defined when the shop initializes. This is causing what looks like intermittent bug behavior in our shop. The IDs sent each time are random (not always the same 21). So sometimes they match shop offers and the packs look right and can be bought and sometimes the ones our current shop offers need are not sent and so the offers in game look wrong and error when you try to buy. Is anyone else seeing this new behavior of not getting down all their product IDs successfully?

Is Anybody interested in using Lottie animations in your SSC playground app in Xcode
Is anybody using Airbnb's Lottie-ios dependency inside your swift student challenge project? If yes can u please discuss about how did u approach using it ? Actually I wanted to use it so I downloaded the official repo maintained by Airbnb from GitHub but the package had too large size so I deleted many part's leaving just src files and some other files as it is and even modified it's package.swift file and finally deleted the .git folder which had been taking way too much space. And now I have been using it as local dependency which I can include it in my .zip submission ( as that's the rule I guess to include the packages our project depends on in our .zip submission file ). So far there have been no problems, I wanna know am I doing anything wrong here? Can someone advise me ?

Is Changing IOS version in package.swift file manually accepted?
I was working on my challenge submission but when I created a iOS swift playground through Xcode, the playground generated get's defaulted to iOS 18, and I can't use latest features like the new glass design seemlessely without using #if available macro's everywhere so I manually changed iOS 18.0 to iOS 26.0 in the package.swift file. So far there have been no problems but as the package.swift file recommends not to change it manually so am I in any problem can someone give me advice of whether it's a legit option ??

Developer Control Question
Hi everyone, I’m new to the Apple Developer side of things and I want to make sure I’m handling this correctly. I hired a freelance iOS developer to build my app. I have my own Apple Developer account (Individual), and I want the app published under my account. The developer says he needs me to create a Certificate Signing Request (CSR), then he will generate the distribution certificate on his end and send me the .cer file back. From there, he would use that for signing and submitting the app. My questions: 1. Is this the correct and modern way to handle app signing? 2. Should I instead just add him to my App Store Connect account with Developer access and let him manage signing through Xcode? Dev claims this won’t work, which I haven’t been able to prove or disprove. ChatGPT says it does, but other AI tools says it doesn’t. 3. Is there any risk in sharing certificates like this? 4. What is considered best practice in 2026 for working with freelancers while keeping full control of the account? My goal is simple: • The app stays fully under my Apple Developer account. • I retain long term control. • The developer can build and submit without needing my Apple ID or password. I’m not trying to make things complicated, I just want to do this the right way and avoid issues later. Thanks in advance.

Feedback for the submission form
Hello!! I wasn't able to find a feedback form anywhere so I'm hoping this could reach the team that made the submission form for the challenge. I was really hoping the form could save our progress. Working on the longer response questions does take time, and it's incredibly frustrating when the site tends to reload, losing all progress and causing me to copy everything over again.

Bring Back Launchpad
So, I started with the developer beta on Tahoe a couple months ago. I gave the new Apps.app a fair shot.... I HATE it. Finally used a terminal work around to get Launchpad back up and running. Now with the release of the Public Beta and Developer Beta 5, Apple has nerfed the Launchpad.app altogether. Apple, listen to your customers. Yes some people really love spotlight but not everyone wants to scroll through a list of apps as long as my leg because, my PTSD brain won't let me remember the name of the app to type into spotlight. The Launchpad app had a great visual reference for those of us with poor memory function. Bring it back, and let your customers choose which one they want to use.
