Hi, I've migrated my app to another developer account more than half a year ago, but I'm still receiving a few transaction payments in the old developer account, which currently has no app.
The payment date shown in the report is last month.
I'm wondering how could this happen. Is it possible for users to initiate a transaction half a year ago and only successfully pay it now?

Today, I submitted the following proposal to Apple through the Feedback Assistant app. I'm not confident in how I phrased it—I'd appreciate any thoughts or feedback from fellow developers.
Proposal: "Apple Silicon.app" for macOS with Apple Silicon – Enhancing Performance and Swap Memory Control
This suggestion has been machine translated into English, so there may be some discrepancies.
If you need the actual text, please feel free to reply to this or ask at the email address below.
<mail address>
If the author of this proposal is to be credited, I would appreciate being listed under the nickname “DiamondGotCat,” where possible.
Summary:
- Currently, Apple Silicon-equipped Macs have many system-level features locked down or restricted.
- This proposal suggests a new application that enables certain advanced controls for power users.
- Tentatively named "Apple Silicon.app", the name may be subject to change if a more suitable alternative arises.
- I propose this application be added as a pre-installed utility on compatible systems:
macOS (M-series), iPadOS (A-series and M-series), and iOS (iPhones with Apple-designed A5 and newer chips, provided the latest OS is available for them).
Overview:
This proposal introduces "Apple Silicon.app", a new system-level utility designed to offer power users greater flexibility and control over Apple Silicon behavior, as part of a broader feature update for Apple devices.
I propose that Apple Silicon.app be automatically installed as a pre-installed application on Apple Silicon devices (Mac, iPad, iPhone, and select Vision devices) that support upcoming major system updates.
Suggested Features of Apple Silicon.app:
1. Performance Core Control
To describe this functionality, the following terminology will be used:
- P-cores: Performance cores
- E-cores: Efficiency cores
I understand that Apple Silicon emphasizes energy efficiency, but I believe there are users—myself included—who prioritize maximum performance regardless of power usage. Therefore, I propose that the app offer a drop-down menu with the following six modes for performance core usage:
A. Automatic (Recommended) – Default macOS behavior; automatically switches between P/E cores based on workload.
B. Performance Priority – Prioritizes P-cores for high-demand tasks, restricts E-cores. Ideal for developers, video editors.
C. Power Saving – Uses E-cores only whenever possible; limits P-core usage. Great for battery saving.
D. P-Core Exclusive Mode – User-defined processes always run on P-cores. Suitable for benchmarks or low-latency tasks.
E. E-Core Exclusive Mode – Prioritizes background tasks and thermal efficiency.
F. Manual Assignment (Advanced) – Users can manually assign P/E cores per application in a dedicated settings screen.
Additionally, I propose the following optional checkbox settings:
- Thermal Safety Mode: Automatically switches from P- to E-cores when system heat exceeds a threshold.
- Restore Core Settings on Wake: Remembers P/E settings after sleep/wake.
- Power Source Adaptive Mode: Switches to power-saving on battery, and performance mode when plugged in.
2. Swap Memory Configuration
The app should also enable user-level control over swap memory (i.e., using part of the SSD as virtual memory).
Currently, macOS manages swap space automatically with no user customization available. I propose the ability to manually configure the swap system with the following options:
- Enable Manual Configuration: Checkbox to switch from automatic to manual control.
- Swap Size: Adjustable in GB units, allowing users to allocate desired swap capacity.
3. Other Settings
At this point, these are the core features I propose. If additional useful features exist that align with this concept, I welcome further suggestions or expansion.
As users—at least speaking for myself—we look forward to such customization options becoming available.

Greetings,
I recently submitted a request for the Location Push Service Extension Entitlement.
Does anybody have insight into how long I would have to wait until Apple responds?
Thanks
I'm learning XPC by inspecting the GitHub Copilot project.
I figured out that the schema works as follows:
The host app with a UI to manage settings
A Service Extension that controls the Xcode Editor
A communication bridge cli app that connects the first two
As far as I understand an app appears in the Accessibility Permission when it calls the next method:
let key = kAXTrustedCheckOptionPrompt.takeRetainedValue() as NSString
AXIsProcessTrustedWithOptions([key: true] as CFDictionary)
This method is only called by the Service Extension.
However, when I run a release build from the /Application folder (where launch agents point to), there are two records appearing in the Accessibility Permission list:
The host app
The needed Service Extension
I compared all metadata files from Copilot with my copy line-by-line, but still can't figure out why the host app record appears in the Accessibility Permission, since the host app does not call the AXIsProcessTrustedWithOptions() method at all.
Could you give me any clue to help me wrap my head around it?
I'm working on an app the has implemented inapp purchases. They have been working so far, and they keep working currently.
But just a couple of days ago, a specific user sent us a support ticket stating that when he purchases and item the bank charges it for the purchase, but within the app, the purchase fails and he doesn't receive the item.
He sent us screenshots showing:
The iOS native modal when a purchases has been finished correctly ("You're all set - Your purchase was successful ").
Right after that modal, the app shows an internal modal showing "The purchase failed, please, try again later".
Checking the app logs, that failure modal was triggered by "The operation couldn’t be completed. (StoreKit.StoreKitError error 1.)".
Reading docs about this error leads me to think about device or user restrictions (parental controls, usage limits, etc...). It seems that in theses cases the bank charge could be issued but refunded later once Apple ultimately declines the purchase.
However the user says that he doesn't have any kind of restriction. The only related thing is a "this device is also restricted by a profile" message, but everyone seems to have this message.
What could it be causing this issue? In what scenariowould the app show a native OK modal but a storekit error 1?
I'm pretty sure the app is well configured because I keep receiving purchases of all kind, from different users with any problem.

Hello,
We are trying to implement Actionable Notifications on iOS via Remote Notifications.
According to Apple’s official documentation (Declaring Your Actionable Notification Types),
it is recommended to register notification categories at launch time.
However, in our use case, the number of buttons and their actions in the Actionable Notification are determined at the time of the Remote Notification request.
This means that we cannot predefine the categories at app launch but need to dynamically configure them based on the payload of the Remote Notification.
Our Approach
We are considering setting aps.mutable-content = 1 and using Notification Service Extension to modify the categoryIdentifier dynamically.
Below is the JSON payload we plan to use for Remote Notifications:
{
"aps": {
"alert": {
"title": "New Message Received!",
"body": "Check out the details."
},
"category": "DYNAMIC_CATEGORY",
"mutable-content": 1
},
"categoryData": {
"id": "DYNAMIC_CATEGORY",
"actions": [
{
"id": "REPLY_ACTION",
"title": "Reply",
"options": ["foreground"]
},
{
"id": "DELETE_ACTION",
"title": "Delete",
"options": ["destructive"]
}
]
}
}
Questions:
Can we dynamically configure Actionable Notifications based on the Remote Notification payload?
If we set categoryIdentifier in Notification Service Extension’s didReceive(_:withContentHandler:), will users still see the correct action buttons even if the app is terminated?
What is the recommended approach to dynamically configure Actionable Notifications at the time of receiving the Remote Notification, rather than at app launch?
Only iOS devices stop receiving notifications after a few days of the app being installed. To resolve this, you need to reinstall the app again.
I'm using Firebase to send messages.

When plugging in my matched USB device I see the logs below. It seems the kernelmanagerd process is sandboxed and can't write out the reason my Dext failed to load. Is there somewhere else I can look for this info?

I set both production and sandbox App Store Notification server.
In sandbox, my server can receive all kinds of app store notification, including subscription and non-consumable in-app-purchase.
But in production, my server only receive subscription notification.
I can see some non-consumable in-app-purchase done in log, but the server didn't receive expected notification.
Anyone know why?
I really need the notification cause I need to know who made refund.
Since iOS 18.3.1, In lower iOS versions it works fine though.
QLPreviewController shows a blank white screen instead of showing the document. Additionally, it does not display the 'Done' option at the top-right to close the view.
Presenting the QLPreviewController works fine to display the document, but for the second time, it renders the blank white screen as described.
While launching QLPreviewControllerView for the first time. I'm receiving the following message in the console and it displays the document.
LaunchServices: store (null) or url (null) was nil: Error Domain=NSOSStatusErrorDomain Code=-54 "process may not map database" UserInfo={NSDebugDescription=process may not map database, _LSLine=72, _LSFunction=_LSServer_GetServerStoreForConnectionWithCompletionHandler}

Closing the QLPreviewController with the help of the 'Done' option from top-right or swipe to close triggers the following message in the console.

Trying to open he document again, Ultimately results in the white blank screen to be displayed with no options to close.
It displays the Navigation bar only for the fraction of time. Leading users to force close the app and start again.
Why did my sandbox test fail due to not being able to obtain the product list?

Hi all,
From what I’ve seen on forums and other sources, it appears that nothing can be done to set the contact poster programmatically. Setting the imageData property affects only the thumbnail image. Does anyone know if this is explicitly documented somewhere? I need this information for a POC document. I watched the iOS 17 keynote (where it was introduced), the Platform State of Union, and other WWDC videos, but I couldn’t find any mention of it. The Contacts framework documentation only explains what can be retrieved from this property and doesn’t mention any way to set the contact poster.
If anyone has any information on this, please help!
Thanks in advance!
Hey guys, I am developing a habit tracker app right now. I know it's basic but it's my first app and I wanted an easy start but this is more of a struggle than I thought. So I am trying to publish my app fully on the App Store however everytime I do there is some kind of bug with it. But when I test it, it works perfect for me. Anyways, in this case the reviewer said when they go to the pro page of my app to purchase a pro subscription and try to press upgrade to pro nothing pops up. It pops up normally for me on my iPhone but not other devices. I wanted to make sure if this was normal or if there is something I am supposed to fix. Any help is appreciated. Thank you.
Hello Apple Developer Community,
I’m working on creating a chart that combines Screen Time Usage data with Workout Time from HealthKit.
I’ve successfully implemented a DeviceActivityReportExtension to fetch Screen Time data and draw a chart. I’m also able to read HealthKit data from the main app.
However, I’m having trouble integrating the HealthKit data into the View generated by the DeviceActivityReportExtension. I’ve attempted to read HealthKit data directly from the extension , but this doesn’t seem to work, likely due to HealthKit access restrictions in extensions.
I also tied using a shared object to pass HealthKit data to the extension, but unfortunately this didn’t seem to work as expected.
I’d greatly appreciate any suggestions on how to successfully integrate HealthKit data into the extension-generated View. Has anyone dealt with a similar challenge or found a workaround for this?
Thanks in advance for your help!
Hi everyone,
I am working on a Unity iOS app. I am adding in-app purchasing in my app. I have added Unity IAP to the Unity project, as well as the code for initialising and purchasing a subscription with the product ID. I have also added my certificates and provisioning profile in Xcode with in-app purchasing capabilities. Also, I have set up an App Store Connect page with a non-renewing subscription with a unique product ID and all required information. The subscription status is ready to submit. I have added a sandbox tester account in it. In unity editor, it is working fine with fake purchase receipt.
While testing in an iOS device, apple ID is logged out. But there is an error occurs everytime : IAP not initialized.
Also I have uploaded a newer version of app on app store connect, it is in waiting for review status.
Is there any step or something I am missing that it is not working in iOS device?
Please help

Hello,
I am unable to figure out how I tell the FamilyActivityPicker whether it should show apps installed on my personal device (to be used with AuthorizationCenter.shared.requestAuthorization(for: .individual)) or apps installed on my child’s device (authenticated their phone via AuthorizationCenter.shared.requestAuthorization(for: .child)).
Is there any parameter or SwiftUI modifier I need to apply?
Otherwise, how does the user or the app know which token belongs to them and which token belongs to their child’s device?

Thanks a lot for your help!

Hello Apple Community,
What does approach use the Fitness app for swimming distance calculation per set (segment)?
I've tried 2 options but all of them have different values than in the Fitness app.
Calculation like that: pool length * number of laps = swimming distance BUT the Fitness app sometimes shows other values for distance per set (segment).
Fetch all distance values via HKQuantityTypeIdentifier.distanceSwimming (HKSampleQuery`) and than try to match distance values with set (segment) duration. Again I got other values for swimming distance per set, values are bigger than in the Fitness app.
let healthStore = HKHealthStore()
let distanceType = HKQuantityType.quantityType(forIdentifier: HKQuantityTypeIdentifier.distanceSwimming)!
let predicate = HKQuery.predicateForSamples(withStart: startDate as Date, end: endDate as Date?, options: .strictStartDate)
let query = HKSampleQuery(sampleType: distanceType, predicate: predicate, limit: HKObjectQueryNoLimit, sortDescriptors: [.init(keyPath: \HKSample.startDate, ascending: true)], resultsHandler: { (query, results, error) in
if let error {
Logger.e("\(error)")
continuation.resume(returning: nil)
}
continuation.resume(returning: results)
})
healthStore.execute(query)
Is it possible to get the same swimming distance like in the Fitness app per set via HealthKit?

We’re looking to implement a custom IPSec IKEv2 VPN using the Packet Tunnel Provider network extension on iOS because we need to add extra information to EAP, which the built-in IKEv2 VPN configuration does not support.
Is it possible to handle the full IKEv2 negotiation and IPSec tunneling within the Packet Tunnel Provider extension? Or are there limitations that would prevent implementing a full IKEv2 stack this way?
Any insights or alternative approaches would be appreciated. Thanks!
