Transitioning a freemium app to StoreKit 2
I'm currently working on transitioning to StoreKit 2. In order to see if my users are legacy users who purchased the app before I implemented an in-app purchase, I am trying to use the original purchase date for the app. Unfortunately, it's returning 0 seconds since 1970. func updateOriginalPurchaseStatus() async throws { let transaction = try await checkVerified(AppTransaction.shared) self.originalPurchaseVersion = transaction.originalAppVersion self.originalPurchaseDate = transaction.originalPurchaseDate } This is from the transaction: [3] = { key = "originalPurchaseDate" value = number (number = 0) } Currently trying to figure out when I actually purchased the app, but it might be as early as 2012. And I likely used a download code.

Help: IAP Works in Xcode but Not in TestFlight – Cannot Link IAP to Version for Review
Hi everyone, I've been going back and forth with Apple’s review team for over 10 days now, and I'm still unable to get my first In-App Purchase (IAP) working correctly. Here's what’s happening: ✅ The IAP works perfectly when I build and run directly from Xcode. ❌ However, when I test the app via TestFlight, tapping the purchase buttons does nothing—the IAP sheet doesn't appear. Key issue (I think): I believe the IAP hasn't been submitted properly for review. On App Store Connect, I cannot select the IAP under the “In-App Purchases” section of the version submission page. It's grayed out or not listed at all. As a result, Apple keeps rejecting my binary due to the IAP not being included in the review. What I’ve already done: Created the IAP (non-consumable) Set pricing and cleared all errors Checked Bundle ID, Product ID, and entitlements Added In-App Purchase capability to the app target Uploaded the binary via Xcode Waited multiple times for status updates My questions: What’s the correct process to link the IAP to a specific app version if it doesn't show up in the version page? Could this be an issue with App Store Connect metadata or approval timing, or am I missing something in Xcode/build settings? Is there any way to force re-sync the IAP so it appears when submitting the build? Has anyone resolved a similar issue recently? This process has been incredibly frustrating, and the feedback from the review team so far has been very vague. I would really appreciate any detailed insight or steps to ensure the IAP is submitted correctly and works on TestFlight. Thank you in advance!

Help testing sandbox purchases in Xcode
I am attempting to test non-consumable sandbox purchases, however I am unable to select the "Approve Transaction" option after initiating a purchase. Leaving the transaction in a permanent pending state. I can view the transaction in the transaction manager by navigating to Debug -> Storekit -> Manage Transactions.. but the only available options to select are "Refund Transaction" or "Delete Transaction". What am I missing about Xcode or my environment that is preventing me from testing this purchase flow? Some more information about my set up. I have a .storekit file synced to AppStore Connect with my product Id. There's a StoreKitTestCertificate.cert saved in the project. I've tried running the build on my phone as Debug, Release and ReleaseForRunning all with the same behavior after making a purchase. My phone is logged into a sandbox test user apple account in the developer iOS settings

Can StoreKit products be observed with ObservableObject? Can I get notified when a users subscription has lapsed without polling Transaction.currentEntitlements?
I have an auto-renewable subscription. I am surprised there does not seem to be a better way. Does StoreKit not notify you somewhere that an auto-renewable subscription has expired? Can you observe it in an ObservableObject? Or do I need to just frequently poll Transaction.currentEntitlements even if I dont expect frequent updates?

Delete Offer Codes
Regarding the offer codes in https://developer.apple.com/help/app-store-connect/manage-subscriptions/set-up-offer-codes, I set up some incorrect offer codes by mistake. Currently, I can only deactivate it but I can't delete it. Is it possible to let me delete the incorrect offer codes due to the below reasons? Thank you. I can't recreate the offer code due to error message This reference name is or has been used by another offer in this subscription group. When I use the offer code redemption view in https://developer.apple.com/documentation/SwiftUI/View/offerCodeRedemption(isPresented:onCompletion:), it shows all the deactivated offer codes. I don't want them to be displayed in the page.

I can't figure out how subscriptions work
Hi, This is the first time I'm submitting an app using IAP with auto-renewing subscriptions. Everything keeps getting rejected (specifically, my subscriptions), and instead of telling me what's wrong or what I need to fix, my reviewer just keeps regurgitating generic passages from the rules. Is there a site/tutorial/whatever that explains how to set these up and submit them? I haven't found anything that looks official/legit, so I'll settle on something recommended by someone who has been through the process. I would appreciate any help. I have been at this for DAYS and am at my wits end. Thanks.

Sandbox refund testing "Cannot connect" error
I'm running into a refund issue when testing in-app purchases in sandbox mode. I'm able to successfully purchase items but roughly 1 out of 3 times, when the refund window pops up, it says it cannot connect even though our webhook servers can verify the transaction id sent from apple. My internet connection is good and I've varied the wait period from purchase to refund from 15mins to 2 hours. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

AppTransactionId support in Get Transaction Info endpoint — documentation change and actual behavior?
Hello, I have a question regarding the App Store Server API's getTransactionInfo endpoint. Previously, the official documentation for getTransactionInfo mentioned that: “This endpoint doesn’t support an app transaction. To get information about an app transaction, decode the signed app transaction received from the device.” However, as of June 2025, I can no longer find this sentence in the current documentation (link). Now, the docs state that all in-app purchase transaction IDs are supported (consumable, non-consumable, auto-renewable subscriptions, etc.). But in practice, when I call getTransactionInfo with an AppTransactionId (extracted from a signed App Transaction JWS), I receive this error: apiErrorCode: 4000048 “Invalid request. App transactions aren’t supported by this endpoint.” Is this endpoint supposed to support AppTransactionId now, or is the restriction still in place (but not mentioned in the docs)? Is there any official statement about when this restriction was added/removed? Can you clarify if only in-app purchase transaction IDs (and not AppTransactionIds) are supported for this endpoint, or has the policy changed recently? Any clarification or historical context would be greatly appreciated. Additionally, I would like to know about the behavior of an App Transaction in the event of a refund. If a user receives a refund for the app itself (not an in-app purchase), how can changes to the AppTransaction be detected? Does the App Store Server Notification v2 provide notifications for app-level refunds, or are such events only visible by decoding the latest App Transaction JWS on the device? Is there any way to receive app-level refund information server-side, or must we always rely on the device to provide the updated signed app transaction? Any clarification on this refund flow and notification coverage would also be appreciated. Thank you!

Subject: Advanced Commerce setup — one generic subscription vs per-product generics, and reporting identifiers
We’ve been approved for the Advanced Commerce API and are setting up the generic product identifiers per the guide: https://developer.apple.com/documentation/advancedcommerceapi/setting-up-your-project-for-advanced-commerce#Set-up-generic-product-identifiers We have multiple auto-renewable subscriptions (for simplicity: Product 1, Product 2, etc.). We created a new subscription group for Advanced Commerce and are about to add the subscription(s) inside that group. Should we create one auto-renewable subscription (generic, e.g. subscription.ac) to represent all of our subscriptions, or one generic per product family (e.g., product1.ac, product2.ac, …)? If the answer depends on whether subscribers can hold multiple products simultaneously, please advise which structure supports that (e.g., separate groups). Reporting identifiers / segmentation: In Sales and Trends and Payments & Financial Reports, which identifier(s) will appear after migration: the legacy StoreKit product_id, the new generic product id, and/or the SKU? If we use a single generic subscription for all products, what’s Apple’s recommended way to segment revenue by product (Product 1 vs. Product 2)? If SKUs don’t surface in these reports, should we prefer multiple generics/groups to preserve report-level segmentation?

Offer Codes and saving the used Offer Code
I have setup offer codes and subscriptions for users to purchase, when a user signs up using an offer code outside of the app the offer code does not save into my database where the subscriptions are saved the transaction is successful and validated by store kit but I cant see that that user used an offer code - an example https://apps.apple.com/redeem/?ctx=offercodes&id=6744338284&code=ASKDOM I then setup an edge function in supabase to retrieve the data that store kit sends back and im not sure where to find the offer code as it still doesnt save is there an internal apple reference that they use as apposed to the users offer code i.e offer code askdomSA = P3050 for example how can Identify if an offer code was used thank you

react native iap not providing the subscription information

IAPs after rejection
Hi everyone, After my app was initially rejected, all my IAPs now show the status “Developer Action Needed.” There’s nothing I need to change on them — they were just returned because it was the first submission and the app itself was rejected. Do I need to do anything with the IAPs before I resubmit, or will they still be attached and reviewed automatically with the next binary? I’ve seen conflicting answers, so I’d like to confirm the correct process. Thanks, Cris

How to properly handle StoreKitError or PurchaseError from product.purchase()
Hello! We are implementing consumable IAP for iOS using StoreKit 2 together with our own server backend. Our happy path looks like this: 1. Call /prepare on our server • We only allow one purchase at a time, so this fails if a pending transaction already exists. 2. Call /purchase via StoreKit 3. If successful, call /complete on our server 4. Call .finish() on the Transaction ⸻ The Problem Some users report being charged by Apple but not receiving coins. I suspect this happens in rare cases where the purchase flow throws an exception: • Every time we throw, we immediately cancel the transaction on our server. • However, some errors may actually be temporary. StoreKit seems to recover by later sending an update through Transactions.updates. • When that happens, since the transaction was already canceled on our server, we cannot match it. As a result, we just call .finish() without granting consumables. ⸻ Additional Observations From user logs, the issue tends to appear when the following errors are reported: • リクエストを完了できません。 • Triggered by: StoreKit.notEntitled • Triggered by: StoreKit.unknown • ヘルパーアプリケーションと通信できませんでした。 I was not able to reproduce the last one, even when testing all possible StoreKit configuration errors. Some sources suggest this may be a rare case where the app cannot communicate with the App Store itself. Additionally, affected users often seem to be using non-standard payment methods (PayPay, gift cards, carrier billing, etc.) rather than credit cards. ⸻ My Question What is the best practice for handling StoreKitError and PurchaseError? Subscription Purchase product issue
Hello Developer support, In one of our live application we have seen that users are purchasing weekly subscription and automatically they shifted to yearly product. Due to this we have received high revenue and also refunds afterwards. To prevent this we removed our yearly product from the sale. In App Store Connect we have seen activations for weekly product and convert to standard prices are yearly products. Also we have seen weird behavior of user getting trial for same product for three times. Reuse a product id from app A in app B for In-app purchase in my iOS app
I have an app which is already on App Store with In-app purchase. Now I want to integrate In-app purchase in my another app for the same products as in the existing app. Both the apps are using same Apple Account. Can I reuse those Product Ids from the first app in the second one. If yes, what is the ways to use them. Thank you in advance.

original transaction id not found
Hi everyone, I’ve been receiving App Store Server Notifications (webhooks) normally for a specific transaction. Everything was working fine — I could use the original_transaction_id to query transaction history, and transaction_id to look up specific transactions. However, starting recently, all API calls for that transaction (both Get Transaction Info and Get Transaction History) now return not found. • The webhooks used to arrive normally for this transaction. • I am sure I’m querying the correct environment (production vs sandbox). • The IDs I’m using are exactly the ones from the last webhook payload. • I haven’t changed my integration code. My questions: 1. Under what conditions does Apple’s API return “not found” for original_transaction_id that previously worked? 2. Can Apple actually purge transaction records (in production)? 3. Could this happen due to refunds, revocations, or other account actions? 4. Is this expected behavior, or should I file a DTS (Technical Support Incident)? Any insight would be appreciated.
