Issue Description
When using the App Store Server API endpoint GET v2/history/{transactionId} to retrieve transaction history for a specific transaction, I'm observing unexpected changes in the appTransactionId field across related transactions in the same subscription group.
Important Context: This is a "clean" auto-renewable subscription with no user intervention - the user has had continuous auto-renewals without any upgrades, downgrades, cancellations, or resubscriptions. The subscription has been renewing automatically and successfully throughout the entire period.

Questions
Is this behavior expected? Should the appTransactionId change between the original purchase and subsequent renewals within the same subscription group, especially when there are no user actions (upgrades/downgrades/cancellations/resubscriptions)?
What determines the appTransactionId value? The documentation doesn't clearly explain when this identifier might change or what triggers a new value. This is particularly puzzling since this is a straightforward auto-renewal scenario.
How should we handle this in our backend logic? Should we treat transactions with different appTransactionId values as separate entities, or should we rely on originalTransactionId for grouping related subscription transactions?
Is this a known issue? We've seen similar concerns in the community regarding transaction ID inconsistencies, but this specific case involves a clean auto-renewal flow without any complicating factors.

Hey guys, I am developing a habit tracker app right now. I know it's basic but it's my first app and I wanted an easy start but this is more of a struggle than I thought. So I am trying to publish my app fully on the App Store however everytime I do there is some kind of bug with it. But when I test it, it works perfect for me. Anyways, in this case the reviewer said when they go to the pro page of my app to purchase a pro subscription and try to press upgrade to pro nothing pops up. It pops up normally for me on my iPhone but not other devices. I wanted to make sure if this was normal or if there is something I am supposed to fix. Any help is appreciated. Thank you.

We’ve encountered an issue in some of our games where IAP purchases made using UPI are going into a pending state. Since these purchases are for consumable items, the rewards are not granted at the time of purchase.
Even after the transactions are eventually confirmed, the rewards still aren't received.
We tested this with two separate UPI transactions, and both resulted in the same pending state issue.
Interestingly, when we tried making a purchase using Apple Wallet afterward, the transaction completed successfully on the first attempt, without any pending state.
This issue seems specific to UPI transactions.
Could anyone help us understand why this is happening or if there’s a recommended way to handle such cases?

My Mac app fails to open for some users with the error:
"ABC.app does not support the latest receipt validation requirements."
I assume this is due to the update of the App Store receipt signing intermediate certificate with one that uses the SHA-256 algorithm.
I cannot reproduce this myself and I have trouble figuring out how to address this issue.
Below is the code that decrypts the receipt and verifies its signature.
How does this code need to be updated to support the new signing certificate?

Hi All,
We are developing our app with an approved External Link Account Entitlement.
During the development process (such as installing from Xcode or creating an Ad-hoc build and installing it on a phone), the open() function of the External Link Account API displays the modal our native language. The app only localized to that language.
However, after uploading the app with the same configuration to TestFlight, the modal somehow appears in English instead.
What could be causing this issue with the External Link Account modal? How can the open() function display the modal in another language when installed from Xcode or an Ad-hoc release build, but in English when installed from TestFlight? How can we show only our native lanugage version only to our Users?

We are currently integrating In-App Purchases for our app and have configured App Store Server Notifications (v2) in the Sandbox environment.
During testing, we observed the following issue:
When a transaction is cancelled, declined, or pending (e.g., Ask to Buy flows or authorization pending),
No App Store Server Notification is sent to our webhook endpoint.
We only receive webhook events where the status is "purchased".
This becomes a critical problem for us because our backend must accurately track transaction states including failed and pending purchases, especially for wallet top-up use cases.
Additionally, we tried mocking failed transactions (via Xcode local environment and turning off In-App Purchases from Developer Settings) to simulate a technical failure scenario.
Even in these cases, no webhook notification was received when the purchase failed server-side.
Is it expected behavior in Sandbox that only successful transactions ("purchased") trigger webhooks?
Are failed or pending transactions suppressed in Sandbox intentionally?
Will webhook behavior be different in Production (i.e., will we receive webhook notifications for failures there)?
Is there any extra configuration or entitlement needed to fully test failure scenarios via webhooks in Sandbox?

Question:
In the sandbox environment, I attempted to perform an In-App Purchase within an IME (Input Method Extension) using a sandbox test account. The purchase flow completed successfully, and I received the success callback.
However, I encountered an issue: no receipt file is generated. I tried checking with both the main app’s bundle and the IME’s bundle, but the receipt file was not found in either case.
When I attempted to refresh the receipt using SKReceiptRefreshRequest, it failed with an exception (error code: 0).
I would appreciate any guidance on how to resolve this issue.
How can I get the region region currently used in the macOS App Store? Preferably via Swift libraries, but any command / function will suffice.
The following StoreKit property seems to always return the region for the Apple Account associated with my macOS user.

My macOS Apple Account region is US; in the App Store, when I sign into a different Apple Account whose region is GB (UK), Storefront.current?.countryCode continues to return US, not GB (or UK).
I correctly see prices in pounds instead of in dollars, British spelling instead of American spelling, apps listed in my purchased tab for the UK (not the US) Apple Account, and, in the Account Settings dialog, the UK Apple Account email address, billing address & Country/Region set to United Kingdom.
I didn't get any relevant results from the following command lines:

defaults find uk-apple-id@example.com
defaults find uk-apple-id
The following didn't change after I signed into the UK Apple Account in the App Store:

Maybe Storefront.current?.countryCode only specifies the country code for the Storefront that will be used for in-app purchases, instead of for purchasing new apps from the App Store; maybe the former is tied to the Apple Account for the macOS user, instead of to the Apple Account for the App Store. If that's the case, what other mechanism can I use to obtain the country code for the App Store storefront?
While testing an inapp purchase, if you purchase the same product twice from an account that does not have testflight permissions for the project and only has sandbox permissions, the second payment will receive the same transactionId as the first.
Why is that so? I know transactionID is unique.
Our app server has subscription feature and processes purchase life cycles based on App Store Server Notification v1.
Last year, when users purchased subscriptions during the following timeframe, we received "INITIAL_BUY" notifications with "unified_receipt.Latest_receipt_info.purchase_date" set to future date(approx. 1 hour after the actual purchase).

For example, we received the following v1 notification at 2024-11-03 08:36:33 Etc/GMT.

Our server grants subscription entitlement based on "purchase_date" so the users had to wait 1 hour before the subscription features became available.
The timeframe coincided with the end of daylight saving time in the U.S., so we assume that it affected the behavior, but our country doesn't adopt daylight saving time.
We have some questions regarding this behavior.
In countries without daylight saving time, how should we handle such notifications with future purchase date in order to properly grant subscription entitlement?
In App Store Server Notification v2, could purchase date be set to future date at the end of daylight saving time in the U.S., just as in v1 notifications?

When trying to login with sandbox account in my simulator, nothing happens, it just become inactive for few seconds and then it become active again prompting that I can login, again and again.
Looking for assistance in managing subscription upgrades for TestFlight users.
I have a few monthly subscriptions, 30days, each with a different set of available features, 1 with all, and 1 with fewer. (All are in proper order and grouped in App Store connection subscriptions)
subscribing seems to be working fine, and purchasing an upgrade is going ok.
what is not: reflecting the upgraded plan in app (currently reflects it will start in 30days when current subscription expires)
I’m lead to believe this will be resolved with a live app in App Store, that will then handle prorating, terminate the old plan and immediately start the new one.
looking for help getting TestFlight to show immediate upgrades.
Is there an App Store Server API available that allows cancellation of specific subscriptions by specifying transaction_id or similar identifiers?
Background of these questions:
We occasionally suspend user accounts due to violations of our service terms and conditions. In such cases, we would like to forcibly cancel their subscriptions if possible. However, we could not find relevant information in the documentation, which is why we are reaching out with these questions.

I have an iOS app, which uses around 500 in app purchases for various modules. I am using StoreKit for in app purchase, now trying to migrate this to StoreKit 2.
I am using Product.products(for:) method to fetch all the products by sending identifiers of all the 500 In app purchases.
In response, I am getting details of only 160 products, the method is not returning remaining in app purchases.
What could be the reason for this behaviour, how to get rid of the issue?
May be is this the issue will happen only on TestFlight? If someone from Apple assures about it, we have plan to submit the app.

Regarding the offer codes in https://developer.apple.com/help/app-store-connect/manage-subscriptions/set-up-offer-codes, I set up some incorrect offer codes by mistake.
Currently, I can only deactivate it but I can't delete it. Is it possible to let me delete the incorrect offer codes due to the below reasons? Thank you.
I can't recreate the offer code due to error message This reference name is or has been used by another offer in this subscription group.
When I use the offer code redemption view in https://developer.apple.com/documentation/SwiftUI/View/offerCodeRedemption(isPresented:onCompletion:), it shows all the deactivated offer codes. I don't want them to be displayed in the page.

I'm encountering an issue when trying to use the subscriptionGroupLookups endpoint in the App Store Connect API.
Despite having the correct setup, I continue to receive a 404 NOT FOUND error when making requests to:
GET https://api.appstoreconnect.apple.com/v1/subscriptionGroupLookups
Here is the current state of my environment:
I am the Account Holder of the App Store Connect account
The App Store Connect API key has been successfully created
I have the correct Key ID, Issuer ID, and .p8 private key
I can authenticate and access the apps and subscriptionGroups endpoints
However, the subscriptionGroupLookups endpoint always returns:

I suspect that LookUp Keys (UUIDs) have not been assigned to our subscription groups, even though they were created and are active in App Store Connect.
There is no “Request Access” button visible under the Integrations tab (as mentioned in Apple support instructions), and my keys appear under “App Store Connect API” > “Keys” as active.
Questions:
How can I ensure that LookUp Keys are assigned to my subscription groups?
Is there a way to trigger this manually or via support?
Has anyone successfully resolved this?
Any advice or experience would be greatly appreciated.

hi, when i test an in app purchase with my sandbox acount i get:
"ask permission. a request to buy ** will be sent to your parent or gardian
(environment: sandbox)"
When i made the sandbox account, i didnt see any option to set my age. What am i missing here, I dont seem to be able to fully test in app purchases since my sandbox accounts always defualt to this family sharing thing?

I'm working on adding a single Non-Consumable In-App purchase to my app. Essentially a "try before you buy" type thing. Limited functionality unless the app is purchased.
I am currently testing this using Xcode and the Manage StoreKit Transactions window. So far most everything appears to be working except for declined pending transactions.
If I set Ask to Buy to Enabled, the Ask Permission (for parent or guardian) dialog appears. After pressing the Ask button, I see a transaction listed as Pending Approval. If I Approve the transaction, then my app is notified and all is well.
However, if I Decline the transaction then my app is not notified. Is that normal?
Also, how do I (i.e. the app) know that there is a pending transaction?

I’m implementing subscriptions and running tests, and I noticed a behavior I’d like to confirm.
Plans in the app
Basic — Monthly
Basic — Annual
Premium — Monthly
Premium — Annual
Test environment
Sandbox (where ~1 day ≈ under 1 minute of real time)
steps
Start Basic (Monthly) using an introductory offer (free trial).
Create a crossgrade to Basic (Annual) (scheduled/queued).
3.After receiving a RENEWAL App Store Server Notification indicating the plan will move from trial to paid Basic (Annual), but before the trial actually expires, upgrade the user to Premium (Monthly).
Observed behavior (Sandbox) & questions
Even though there is still up to ~1 day of trial remaining (≈ under 1 minute in Sandbox), upgrading to Premium (Monthly) immediately ends the trial and activates the paid Premium plan right away.
Will this same behavior occur in Production?
If yes, is this the expected/acceptable behavior when upgrading during an active trial after a pending crossgrade?
Note: If we upgrade to Premium before the RENEWAL notification arrives, the remaining trial time is carried over in our tests.
In this flow, we see a RENEWAL notification for Basic (Annual) (moving from trial → paid), but then the user immediately upgrades to Premium (Monthly) and the trial ends at that moment.
In Production, would the charge for Basic (Annual) be refunded automatically since the user effectively switches to Premium immediately (and Basic Annual does not remain active)?
In Sandbox there’s no real charge, but I want to ensure we won’t see a situation in Production where Basic (Annual) is billed and not refunded, even though the subscription effectively moved to Premium right away.
