Why does a purchase result in success unverified?
A purchase can result in success with verificationResult .unverified. Is there a list of reasons for which the transaction might be unverified and how should i handle it in my app? From my understanding, a successful unverified transaction means the user has already paid for the purchase. So, do i just ignore the unverified transaction or do i provide content to the user anyways?

【iOS18.2~18.3.2 bug】After switching sandbox accounts in Settings, the value of SKStorefront.countryCode is not synchronized
Problem Description: 1、I have two sandbox accounts from different countries. Account A is from Mainland China (CHN), and Account B is from the United States (USA). When I switch the sandbox account from Account A (CHN) to Account B (USA) in the system settings and restart the app, the value of SKPaymentQueue.defaultQueue.storefront.countryCode always returns "CHN" instead of the expected "USA". 2、This issue only occurs on iOS 18.2 and above. 3、On the same device running iOS 17.5.1, the behavior is correct. However, after upgrading the system to iOS 18.3.2, the error occurs. 4、In the sandbox environment, although SKStorefront.countryCode returns the wrong value, the currency type for Apple's in-app purchase is correct when initiating the payment. 5、The issue only exists in the sandbox environment and does not occur in the App Store-downloaded package. Demo Code: - (IBAction)clickButton:(id)sender { NSString *appStoreCountryCode3 = SKPaymentQueue.defaultQueue.storefront.countryCode; NSLog(@"%@",appStoreCountryCode3); } Demo Testing Steps and Results: 1、Sandbox Account A (China) will print "CHN". 2、Go to Settings - Developer - (at the bottom) SANDBOX APPLE ACCOUNT, and switch to another sandbox account B (USA). 3、Restart the Demo App. 4、Print results: iOS 17.5.1: "USA" ✅ → Upgrade the system of the same device to iOS 18.3.2 → "CHN" ❌ iOS 18.2.1: "CHN" ❌ iOS 18.3.1: "CHN" ❌ iOS 18.3.2: "CHN" ❌ Possible Clues: Starting with iOS 18.2, Apple changed the entry point for setting up sandbox accounts, which introduced this bug. It seems that when users switch sandbox accounts on iOS 18.2, Apple engineers forgot to notify the SKStorefront class to update the countryCode value. Before iOS 18.2: Settings - App Store - Sandbox Account iOS 18.2 and later: Settings - Developer - (at the bottom) Sandbox Account Although it doesn't affect the App Store package, it does impact our development and testing process. We hope this issue can be fixed in future versions. Thank you!

How to change promotional image of in-app purchase
My apps stuck on review stage. Reason of it is Guideline 2.3.2 - Performance - Accurate Metadata We noticed that your promotional image to be displayed on the App Store does not sufficiently represent the associated promoted in-app purchase. Specifically, we found the following issue with your promotional image: – Your promotional image is the same as your app’s icon. The problem is i can't change this image. My subscription is still in 'in review' stage and I don't have option like delete image or change image. I replied to the review explaining that I cannot change it as long as the subscription is under review, but I haven’t received any meaningful reply, except that I need to change promotion image to be eligible for further review(which i cant do because i haven't option to change this image). Has anyone had such a problem before?

Advanced Commerce (Sandbox) – Generic Product Still “Ready to Submit”
Hello, Our app is approved for the Advanced Commerce API and we are currently testing in the Sandbox environment only. We have created generic product identifiers and have already submitted them via the Advanced Commerce API Access form. However, the generic product status in App Store Connect is still “Ready to Submit.” For Sandbox testing, is this status expected, or do we need to submit an app build or the generic product for review before Advanced Commerce works correctly? Thank you.

SubscriptionStoreView Localization Error
Hello! The localization isn't working when using SubscriptionStoreView. The app hasn't been published yet. The subscription has been created and localization strings have been added. Status - ready to submit. Testing environment: Sandbox When calling SubscriptionStoreView, the debug console shows this error: GenerativeModelsAvailability.Parameters: Initialized with invalid language code: ru-RU. Expected to receive two-letter ISO 639 code. e.g. 'zh' or 'en'. Falling back to: ru Despite this, the subscription interface appears in English when Russian is expected. I don't use any locale setting for ru-RU anywhere in my code. The test device's region is set to Russia, and the language is Russian. Any help would be appreciated.

StoreKit v2: autoRenewStatus returns 0 right after purchase on iOS 26.1
Hi everyone, I’m implementing subscriptions using StoreKit v2, and I’ve noticed a behavior change starting with iOS 26.1. I’d like to ask if anyone else has experienced the same issue. ■ Issue Immediately after purchasing a new subscription, the value of auto_renew_status (or autoRenewStatus) returned in the receipt is 0 (auto-renew OFF). This issue occurs on iOS 26.1. On iOS 26.0 and earlier, the same parameter returned 1 (auto-renew ON) right after purchase. Sometimes, after executing a “restore” operation, the value changes to 1 later. Since we’ve been using this parameter to determine whether a user’s subscription is active or not, the current behavior is causing some difficulties on our end. ■ Questions Has anyone else observed this issue (where autoRenewStatus is 0 immediately after purchase on iOS 26.1 or later)? How are you handling or working around this behavior in your implementation? If autoRenewStatus is unreliable, we’re considering determining the subscription state based on receipt fields instead. Would this approach be reasonable? "status" is 1 (indicates active subscription) "expire_time" is in the future "deleted_at" is null If anyone has encountered the same behavior or knows of any Apple-recommended implementation approach, I’d really appreciate your insights. Thank you! 🙏

StoreKit2: appAccountToken in purchase() always returns first value instead of updated UUID
Hello, I’m experiencing an issue with StoreKit 2 when passing a new appAccountToken for each purchase request. Case-ID: 15948169 (for DTS reference) Description of the Problem When initiating a purchase, I generate a new UUID to use as the appAccountToken: let serverTransactionId = UUID() let options: Set<Product.PurchaseOption> = [ .appAccountToken(serverTransactionId) ] let result = try await product.purchase(options: options) Expected Behavior: Each new purchase should return the updated appAccountToken that I pass into the purchase options. Actual Behavior: The payload response after success always contains the same appAccountToken from the very first transaction. It ignores subsequent UUIDs I pass and keeps reusing the original one. This causes issues because the same identifier is being reused across multiple transactions, making it difficult to map purchases to the correct user session. Steps to Reproduce Generate a fresh UUID using UUID(). Pass it as .appAccountToken when calling purchase(). Complete the transaction in the sandbox environment. Inspect the payload response → The appAccountToken value is always the same as the first one used, not the newly provided one. Additional Info I do have a focused test project that reproduces this issue. The issue appears specific to appAccountToken persistence across multiple transactions. Has anyone else experienced this behavior with StoreKit 2? Is this expected (Apple caching the first token) or could this be a bug?

Apple Media Services T&C pop-up
I had published an App, and my app has App Clip supported. The issue I faced is that I had received complaints where the user keep seeing the pop up "Apple Media Services Terms and Conditions Have Changed" when user clicked on the "Open" Button in the App Clip. What we had tried so far: Let user switch the Apple Id's region to our supported region. Let user try to log out and log in to Apple Id within the supported region.

how is the refund amount calculated for auto-renewing upgrade?
Hi, We have a app with some auto-renewing subscription in a group of subscriptions. When a user upgrade from a subscription to another, the "user receive a refund of the prorated amount of their original subscription" (https://developer.apple.com/app-store/subscriptions/). How is the prorated calculated ? Example : subscription to 14,99$ / month. If subscriber upgrade after 10 days, is the refund calculated 10/30 of 14,99$ (so ~5$) ?

Inquiry Regarding Potential StoreKit v2 Transaction Handling Issue
Dear Apple Technical Support Team, We have encountered a potential issue related to transaction handling while using StoreKit v2, and would greatly appreciate your assistance in confirming the behavior or providing any relevant guidance. Issue Description: When calling Transaction.unfinished and listening to Transaction.updates on the client side, we noticed that some transactions—despite having already been processed and successfully completed with finish()—are being returned again upon the next app launch, which results in duplicate receipt uploads. Current Handling Flow: 1. Upon app launch: • Iterate over Transaction.unfinished to retrieve unfinished transactions; • Simultaneously listen for transaction changes via Transaction.updates (e.g., renewals, refunds); 2. For each verified transaction, we immediately call await transaction.finish(); 3. We then construct a transaction model, store it locally, and report it to our backend for receipt verification; 4. After the server successfully verifies the receipt, the client deletes the corresponding local record; 5. On every app launch, the client checks for any locally stored receipts that haven’t been uploaded, and re-uploads them if necessary. Key Code Snippets: private static func verifyReceipt(receiptResult: VerificationResult) -> Transaction? { switch receiptResult { case .unverified(_, _): return nil case .verified(let signedType): return signedType } } public static func handleUnfinishedTransactions(payConfig: YCStoreKitPayConfig, complete: ((YCStoreKitReceiptModel?) -> Void)?) { Task.detached { for await unfinishedResult in Transaction.unfinished { let transaction = YCStoreKitV2Manager.verifyReceipt(receiptResult: unfinishedResult) if let transaction { await transaction.finish() if transaction.revocationDate == nil { let receipt = YCStoreKitV2Manager.createStoreKitReceiptModel( transation: transaction, jwsString: unfinishedResult.jwsRepresentation, payConfig: payConfig, isRenew: false ) complete?(receipt) } } } } } private func observeTransactionUpdates() -> Task<Void, Never> { return Task { for await updateResult in Transaction.updates { let transaction = YCStoreKitV2Manager.verifyReceipt(receiptResult: updateResult) if let transaction { await transaction.finish() if transaction.revocationDate == nil { let receipt = YCStoreKitV2Manager.createStoreKitReceiptModel( transation: transaction, jwsString: updateResult.jwsRepresentation, payConfig: self.payConfig, isRenew: false ) self.callProgressChanged(.receiptPrepared, receiptModel: receipt, errorType: .none, error: nil) } } } } } Our Questions: 1. Is it possible for Transaction.unfinished or Transaction.updates to return transactions that have already been finished? Specifically, if a transaction was successfully finished in a previous app launch, could it still be returned again during the next launch? 2. Are there any flaws in our current handling process? Our current sequence is: finish() → construct model → local save → report to server → delete after verification. Could this order lead to timing issues where StoreKit considers a transaction unfinished? 3. If we need your assistance in investigating specific user transaction records or logs, what key information should we provide? We greatly appreciate your support and look forward to your response to help us further optimize our transaction processing logic.

When is the unverified branch of AppTransaction.shared entered?
Hi all, I am adding the following StoreKit 2 code to my app, and I don't see anything in Apple's documentation that explains the unverified case. When is that case exercised? Is it when someone has tampered with the app receipt? Or is it for more mundane things like poor network connectivity? // Apple's docstring on `shared` states: // If your app fails to get an AppTransaction by accessing the shared property, see refresh(). // Source: https://developer.apple.com/documentation/storekit/apptransaction/shared var appTransaction: VerificationResult<AppTransaction>? do { appTransaction = try await AppTransaction.shared } catch { appTransaction = try? await AppTransaction.refresh() } guard let appTransaction = appTransaction else { AppLogger.error("Couldn't get the app store transaction") return false } switch appTransaction { case .unverified(appTransaction, verificationError): // For what reasons should I expect this branch to be entered in production? return await inspectAppTransaction(appTransaction, verifiedByApple: false) case .verified(let appTransaction): return await inspectAppTransaction(appTransaction, verifiedByApple: true) } Thank you, Lou

User charged, but .userCancelled returned
Hello, Is anyone else seeing Purchase.PurchaseResult.UserCancelled, despite a successful transaction? I had a user notify me today that he: Attempted a purchase Entered payment credentials Was asked to opt in to email subscription notifications Opted In Was shown my app's "User Canceled Purchase" UI Attempted to repurchase Was alerted that he was "Already Subscribed" I have adjusted my code to check Transaction.currentEntitlements on receiving a .userCancelled result, to avoid this in the future. Is this logically sound? Here is my code - please let me know if you see any issues: func purchase(product: Product, userId: String) async throws -> StoreKit.Transaction { let purchaseUUID = UUID() let options: Set<Product.PurchaseOption> = [.appAccountToken(purchaseUUID)] let result = try await product.purchase(options: options) switch result { case .success(let verification): guard case .verified(let tx) = verification else { throw PurchaseError.verificationFailed // Show Error UI } return try await processVerified(tx) case .userCancelled: for await result in Transaction.currentEntitlements { if case .verified(let tx) = result, tx.productID == product.id, tx.revocationDate == nil { return try await processVerified(tx) } } throw PurchaseError.cancelled // Show User Cancelled UI case .pending: throw PurchaseError.pending // Show Pending UI @unknown default: throw PurchaseError.unknown // Show Error UI } } @MainActor func processVerified(_ transaction: StoreKit.Transaction) async throws -> StoreKit.Transaction { let id = String(transaction.id) if await transactionCache.contains(id) { await transaction.finish() return transaction // Show Success UI } let (ok, error) = await notifyServer(transaction) guard ok else { throw error ?? PurchaseError.serverFailure(nil) // Show Error UI } await transaction.finish() await transactionCache.insert(id) return transaction // Show Success UI } The only place the "User Cancelled Purchase" UI is displayed on my app is after the one instance of "throw PurchaseError.cancelled" above. This happened in Production, but I have also seen userCancelled happen unexpectedly in Sandbox. Thank you for your time and help.

In-App Purchases not loading in production / TestFlight — Previously missing Paid Apps Agreement — App rejected under Guideline 3.1.2
Hello, My app was rejected on iPad (iPad Air 11-inch M3, iPadOS 26.2.1) with two related issues: Guideline 2.1 – Performance – App Completeness “The app exhibited one or more bugs that would negatively impact users. Bug description: the premium subscription cannot be loaded properly.” Guideline 3.1.2 – Business – Payments – Subscriptions “The submission did not include all the required information for apps offering auto-renewable subscriptions.” I am using StoreKit 2 with SubscriptionStoreView to present the auto-renewable subscription. During development: Subscriptions load correctly in the simulator (sandbox). On real devices, I test without a local StoreKit configuration file to fetch products from App Store Connect. The subscription UI (title, duration, price) displays correctly when products are returned. At the time of review, the Paid Apps Agreement was not active. I suspect this may have caused the subscription products to fail loading on the review device. Since then: Paid Apps Agreement is now Active. SubscriptionStoreView should automatically show required metadata. Because the subscription failed to load on iPad during review, the required information (title, price, duration) was not visible, which likely triggered the 3.1.2 rejection. Additionally, in TestFlight I sometimes see inconsistent behavior where the app appears but cannot be installed (“App Not Available”). Also, my app was rejected, but the subscription is still waiting for review. I would really appreciate guidance on the following: Am I potentially missing any required configuration that could prevent products from loading in production? Is there any propagation delay after activating the Paid Apps Agreement that could affect product availability? If I am overlooking something in configuration or testing, please let me know what I should specifically verify before resubmitting. Thank you very much for your help.

AppStoreServerNotificationV2 EXPIRED event after removing from sale
Our app is supposed to be removed from sale on May 31st. Subscriptions our app is offering will also be removed on May 1st one month before our app removal. I would like to know if AppStoreServerNotificationV2 EXPIRED event will be sent to a specified endpoint after the removal of these subscriptions. I think each subscription will be canceled automatically from May 1st to May 31st and it will send EXPIRED event to our server, but is it true? Thank you in advance.

Increased StoreKit errors “Unable to Complete Request”
Since January 28, 2026, we’ve noticed an increase in StoreKit-related errors during purchase flows. Specifically, we’re seeing a spike in errors reported as “Unable to Complete Request”, categorized as unknown StoreKit errors. This correlates with a noticeable drop in the overall purchase success rate. A few observations: The issue is not limited to the latest app version, it also affects older versions. It appears to occur only on iOS 17+. The impact seems country-specific: some regions are affected more heavily, while others show no significant change compared to previous days. At the moment, there are no related incidents reported on Apple’s System Status page. Given these symptoms, this looks like a potential StoreKit / Apple API issue, but we haven’t found any official confirmation yet. Has anyone else observed similar StoreKit behavior recently on iOS 17+? Any insights or known issues would be greatly appreciated.

Unknown Error when Trying to Add New Offer Codes
Hi there! Whenever I try to add a new Offer Code for my app's subscription, I get an unknown error. When I get to the last step of the "Create Offer for Codes" flow, I get an error that error reads "An error has occurred. Try again later." I have been getting this same error for over a week now, so any help figuring out how to add new offer codes would be greatly appreciated!

Double-counted consumable in StoreKit unfinished and updates workflow
In Getting started with In-App Purchase using StoreKit views and the corresponding sample project, Store simultaneously enumerates Transaction.unfinished and Transaction.updates. Since, "if your app has unfinished transactions, the updates listener receives them once, immediately after the app launches," it appears that Transaction.unfinished would also receive the same unfinished transactions causing handle(updatedTransaction:) to be called for twice for each transaction, causing consumables to be double-counted. Is this a bug in the sample? Is there more information on concurrent execution of unfinished and updates?

Cannot get public keys for jwks verification
I am using the public url https://api.storekit-sandbox.itunes.apple.com/inApps/v1/notifications/jwsPublicKeys to get the jwks keys to verify the signed payload for store kit payments. I am checking Apple server notifications. const APPLE_JWKS_URL = "https://api.storekit-sandbox.itunes.apple.com/inApps/v1/notifications/jwsPublicKeys" // Apple JWK set (cached by jose) const appleJWKS = createRemoteJWKSet(new URL(APPLE_JWKS_URL)); const jwks = await appleJWKS(); logger.debug("Apple JWKS Keys: %O", jwks); // Log the keys if (!signedPayload) { // return res.status(400).json({ error: "Missing signedPayload" }); } // Step 1: Verify JWS (signature + payload) using Apple's JWKS const { payload, protectedHeader } = await jwtVerify( signedPayload, appleJWKS, { algorithms: ["ES256"], // Apple uses ES256 for signing } );
