Hi, I want to offer an auto-renewable subscription (e.g., $1/month) that grants users (10 document analyses per month), with the count resetting at the start of each billing cycle.
-Unused analyses will not roll over to the next month-
Additionally, any analyses generated while the subscription is active will remain accessible to the user permanently, even if they cancel the subscription.
The paywall, app description, and metadata will clearly state that the subscription grants (10 document analyses per month with no rollover)
We want this to be implemented as an auto-renewable subscription model, not as a consumable service or a token/credit system (which we want to avoid).
Is this model acceptable under Apple’s guidelines, or would it be considered a token/credit system? Any insights or alternative suggestions would be appreciated.. Thanks

I have an auto-renewable subscription. I have two methods helping me keep track of when they are expired
@MainActor public func isPurchased(product: Product) async -> Bool {
guard let state = await product.currentEntitlement else {
return false
}
switch state {
case .unverified(_, _):
return false
case .verified(let transaction):
await transaction.finish()
return isTransactionRelevant(transaction)
}
}
private func isTransactionRelevant(_ transaction: Transaction) -> Bool {
if let revocationDate = transaction.revocationDate {
logger.error("Transaction verification failed: Transaction was revoked on \(revocationDate)")
return false
}
if let expirationDate = transaction.expirationDate,
expirationDate < Date()
{
logger.error("Transaction verification failed: Transaction expired on \(expirationDate)")
return false
}
if transaction.isUpgraded {
logger.error("Transaction verification failed: Transaction was upgraded")
return false
}
logger.info("Transaction verification succeeded")
return true
}
I also have this that I can call to get the latest state of purchases
@MainActor public func updateStoreKitSubscriptionStatus() async {
var currentProductsPurchased: [Product] = []
for await result in Transaction.currentEntitlements {
if case .verified(let transaction) = result {
if isTransactionRelevant(transaction) {
if let product = products.first(
where: { $0.id == transaction.productID
})
{
currentProductsPurchased.append(product)
}
}
await transaction.finish()
}
}
self.purchasedProducts = currentProductsPurchased
}
Right now when a subscription expires the user needs to manually do some action that triggers updateStoreKitSubscriptionStatus() as it appears that expirations do not come through in Transaction.updates.
I am surprised there does not seem to be a better way. Does StoreKit not notify you somewhere that an auto-renewable subscription has expired? Can you observe it in an ObservableObject? Or do I need to just frequently poll Transaction.currentEntitlements even if I dont expect frequent updates?

Hi,
Using StoreKit 2 with App Store Server notifications like so:
User selects a purchase
App calls Product.purchase()
If successful, App Store notifies our backend with the transaction details, importantly with a UUID for the transaction ID.
This works fine, but when I try to test contingent pricing via the handy StoreKit config Transaction Manager in Xcode by creating a PurchaseIntent if I then complete the purchase in the app the Transaction ID is sequential, (0 for the first, 1 for the second etc), which doesn't work for us as the backend might already have that ID stored so the purchase never completes.
If I disable the config file it works fine, but then I can't use the Transaction Manager debug tool. Is there a way to override the ID of a custom transaction that's created via the StoreKit configuration?
Thanks
Hello,
I’m facing an issue with auto-renewable subscriptions in my React Native iOS app using react-native-iap.
Before App Store approval, everything worked perfectly — I could test in-app purchases and subscriptions locally on my iPhone through Xcode using a development build and sandbox tester.
After the app was approved and released on the App Store, I needed to make some updates. Now, when I build and run the same project again through Xcode (Debug, development-signed) on my iPhone, the subscriptions no longer load.
The same product IDs are approved and live in App Store Connect.
The live version on the App Store works fine (subscriptions load and process successfully).
But on the local Xcode build, getSubscriptions() returns invalid product identifiers or an empty list.
No changes were made to the bundle ID or product IDs
The build is signed with an Apple Development certificate and uses the same team and bundle identifier as the published app.
“In-App Purchase” capability is enabled.
I’ve also tried deleting the app, rebooting the device, and re-logging into a sandbox tester account, but the issue persists.
It looks like the sandbox environment no longer works for the app after its first App Store release.
Has anyone experienced this issue where the same approved app’s IAPs work in production but fail to load in sandbox/dev builds through Xcode after release?
Any guidance on re-enabling sandbox testing for updates would be greatly appreciated.
Environment:
Xcode 26.0.1
React Native with react-native-iap
Auto-renewable subscriptions (3 SKUs)
Thank you!

We sell magazines through a third party app platform called Pocketmags and our website. The magazines have Print, Digital and Combo options available for purchase. Also, this third party app provides the platform to read the digital version of the magazines.
Once a user buys a subscription on the website, he/she receives the email with the login information on PocketMags, where he registers his login details and can start reading his subscription. With us, the customer shares his billing/shipping address along with their email id while they make payment.
Now we have our own app where through which we want to sell these magazines and have to integrate In-App purchase for selling these digital subscriptions. How do we send the 3rd party subscription access details on email to the user if they do in app purchase?
We have a user that has an active subscription according to the appstore in our product but it is registering as expired. Hitting the subscribe button in the SwiftUI SK2 dialog does nothing, meaning, nothing happens.
Any ideas?

I am experiencing an issue with my iOS app where StoreKit 2 in-app subscriptions are not appearing when using Product.products(for:). I have done all the necessary configurations, but the products still return an empty array ([]).
Here are the details of my setup:
• App ID / Bundle ID: com.tstore.vocabely
• Product IDs:
• com.tstore.vocabely.base
• com.tstore.vocabely.pro
• com.tstore.vocabely.ultimate
• Paid Apps Agreement: Active
• IAP Status in App Store Connect: Ready to Submit / Approved
• Testing Environment:
• Device: iPhone (real device)
• iOS Version: [insert your iOS version]
• Xcode Version: [insert your Xcode version]
• Sandbox Tester Account used
• Code Snippet: Using Product.products(for: productIDs) in StoreKitManager to fetch products
I have verified:
• Product IDs match exactly with App Store Connect
• Paid Apps Agreement is Active
• Using a real device, not a simulator
• Sandbox account is properly signed in
Despite all of this, fetchProducts() still returns an empty array.
Could you please assist me in troubleshooting why my subscriptions are not appearing in the Sandbox environment?
Thank you for your support.

Where the problem occurs:
In-app purchase
Non-ApplePay
Non-local authentication login
Environment where the problem occurs:
Sandbox environment (Development environment, TestFlight environment)
Problem handling process:
Open page A in the app and purchase product B (auto-renewable subscription) on that page.
User authentication is required to purchase product B.
During the authentication process, the user needs to enter the Apple account and Apple account password.
After completing the authentication, complete the purchase of product B.
Problem in step 3:
Why is FaceID or TouchID not used for authentication?
Note: Face ID and Password -> iTunes Store and App Store -> Status is Enabled
I confirm that the configured callback address is accurate and can be called using Postman.
The server receives notification messages from IAP

I've been stuck with this rejection. Trial button 'greyed out' or non responsive. What they are seeing is my subscriptions not loading into the pay wall. We think its because the subscriptions haven't been reviewed and approved in order for them to populate the pay wall (activating the pay wall so it isn't 'greyed out'. Has anyone had and solved this issue?

Hello!
We are tryign to test refund notifications and we've implemented a debug button trigger the refund of a purchase done with a sandbox account. The problem is that the refund view displays a Cannot Connect message and nothing happens. No error messages appear in the console. Anything we are doing wrong?
Apple review says , my app displayed an error when we attempted to purchase subscriptions. Please review the details and resources below and complete the next steps.
Device type: iPad Air (5th generation)
OS version: iPadOS 26.0.1
Next Steps
When validating receipts on your server, your server needs to be able to handle a production-signed app getting its receipts from Apple’s test environment. The recommended approach is for your production server to always validate receipts against the production App Store first. If validation fails with the error code "Sandbox receipt used in production," you should validate against the test environment instead.
Question: Is it due to Device being used by reviewer or is it really from my code. As my code relies on Apple infrastructure for purchases and all things.
Initially i did had subscription reporting api for receipt handling and all.When i went through with ChatGPT it did say that issue is due to half baked subscription module on my server. So i decided not to send any Subscription related things to backend, now it's Apple only and on App side.
Is it correct fix ? Or do i need to fix backend even though i have no use for it ?
My team did test in sandbox env via internal testing that time we had no issues. And all was tested using Mobile devices, that's why i still have question just to be sure these errors are due to devices or not?
Screenshot shared by Apple team did show they got a error popup saying Something went wrong : Unable to complete request. I am trying to reproduce in development but can't.
Anyone had got same issue before and has information on how to resolve and test for it will be helpful.
Thanks

}
// ... 后续验证代码 ...
}
appTransactionJWS是来自客户端的沙盒环境。
我发现沙盒环境的jws总是包含一个证书,而后端验证又必须要求三个证书,请问这个问题如何解决。

Apple Support Workaround
Following Senior Advisor recommendation:
✅ Deleted all provisioning profiles from account
✅ Confirmed IAP capability in project
✅ Created StoreKit Configuration File for testing
✅ Verified automatic signing management
✅ Multiple "Try Again" attempts in Xcode
Result: Problem persists
Apple Support Reference
Case #102680105923 - Senior Advisor Simone confirmed after internal team consultation that this requires engineering team attention and directed to Developer Forums.
Technical Analysis
What Works
Flutter build completes successfully
Pod install executes without issues (25,9s)
Xcode build finishes successfully (13,8s)
All dependencies resolve correctly
What Fails
Provisioning profile generation: Server creates profile but omits StoreKit entitlement
All profile types affected: Both manual and automatic profiles
Consistent across configurations: Debug, Release, Profile all fail identically
Root Cause
This appears to be a server-side bug where Apple's provisioning systems are not properly correlating the App ID's In-App Purchase capability with the StoreKit entitlement generation for this specific App ID (com.driftnotes.app).
The issue is NOT in client-side configuration - all settings match Apple's official documentation exactly. The problem occurs during the server-side provisioning profile generation process.
Request for Engineering Team
This issue requires attention from Apple's provisioning infrastructure team to resolve the server-side entitlement generation bug for App ID com.driftnotes.app.
Impact
Critical: Complete inability to build iOS app for physical devices
Business: Blocking app deployment and updates
Developer Experience: Extensive time spent on troubleshooting correctly configured setup
All configurations have been verified multiple times and match Apple's official documentation. The issue has been escalated through Apple Support (Case #102680105923) and requires engineering team intervention.

Hello all,
Posting here before I put in a support ticket to see if there are any ideas.
The previous beta issues seem to have been resolved, but now we are having intermittent problems with sandbox purchases. We do not know if this will affect real purchases. This is happening on beta 9 in both public and dev channels for us, most often on iPad Pro 4th. gen (Though idk if that is relevant).
Sometimes running TestFlight builds on iOS 26 beta 9 devices we will have attempts to make sandbox purchases just go into a black hole.
We do not get a "Do you want to buy this" popup, or the credentials screen. It just pauses for a bit in the section of our code that would be akin to:
let result = try await product.purchase( options: [.appAccountToken(accountUUID) ] )
Then wait a couple seconds, and then nothing. The game returns to normal flow as if it was a pending purchase, but nothing more ever happens. We have not been able to get a local debug build to do this, so it's hard for us to tell if it is going into the pending bucket, the userCancelled bucket, or the unverified bucket, etc.
If we take a device in this state and remove the app and reinstall from TestFlight we will get a credentials popup on the first attempt after install to buy, and after putting in our info we will get the " "You've already purchased this In-App Purchase...", but nothing ever his our listener and we return to the broken state.
Has anyone else seen issues like this?
P.S. Our StoreKit logic code is currently widely distributed, so if it was reproducible in the live version on iOS 18 we would know about it.
Thanks, Chris

Hi,
This is the first time I'm submitting an app using IAP with auto-renewing subscriptions. Everything keeps getting rejected (specifically, my subscriptions), and instead of telling me what's wrong or what I need to fix, my reviewer just keeps regurgitating generic passages from the rules.
Is there a site/tutorial/whatever that explains how to set these up and submit them? I haven't found anything that looks official/legit, so I'll settle on something recommended by someone who has been through the process.
I would appreciate any help. I have been at this for DAYS and am at my wits end.
Thanks.
My Mac app fails to open for some users with the error:
"ABC.app does not support the latest receipt validation requirements."
I assume this is due to the update of the App Store receipt signing intermediate certificate with one that uses the SHA-256 algorithm.
I cannot reproduce this myself and I have trouble figuring out how to address this issue.
Below is the code that decrypts the receipt and verifies its signature.
How does this code need to be updated to support the new signing certificate?
