I have an Expo React Native application and I am using react-native-iap library. I have setup the URL for sandbox and production url to receive notifications when a something happens regarding subscriptions. I am not able to receive those notifications when I simulate the purchase on the Simulator using Xcode.
I then have used the node library app-store-server-library to mock a test notification and I am receiving the test notification when I call requestTestNotification method.

I'm working on an app the has implemented inapp purchases. They have been working so far, and they keep working currently.
But just a couple of days ago, a specific user sent us a support ticket stating that when he purchases and item the bank charges it for the purchase, but within the app, the purchase fails and he doesn't receive the item.
He sent us screenshots showing:
The iOS native modal when a purchases has been finished correctly ("You're all set - Your purchase was successful ").
Right after that modal, the app shows an internal modal showing "The purchase failed, please, try again later".
Checking the app logs, that failure modal was triggered by "The operation couldn’t be completed. (StoreKit.StoreKitError error 1.)".
Reading docs about this error leads me to think about device or user restrictions (parental controls, usage limits, etc...). It seems that in theses cases the bank charge could be issued but refunded later once Apple ultimately declines the purchase.
However the user says that he doesn't have any kind of restriction. The only related thing is a "this device is also restricted by a profile" message, but everyone seems to have this message.
What could it be causing this issue? In what scenariowould the app show a native OK modal but a storekit error 1?
I'm pretty sure the app is well configured because I keep receiving purchases of all kind, from different users with any problem.

I'm currently still on StoreKit 1, and am testing the paymentQueueShouldShowPriceConsent delegate function.
In my local .storekit file, I have a renewable subscription set up with a promotional offer.
My test flow is as follows:
User subscribes to renewable subscription
Let subscription auto-renew once or twice
User subscribes to renewable subscription with promotional offer with significant price reduction
Promotional offer lapses and price increases to normal
Expect paymentQueueShouldShowPriceConsent delegate function to trigger
However, #5 never does get invoked, despite re-trying the subscription and promotional offers in various configurations. Manually triggering the Request Price Increase Consent option in the Xcode StoreKit transactions list does invoke the delegate function, but letting the promotional offer lapse does not.
My storefront is set to Korea, and my simulator region is set to Korea as well. According to the documentation here and here, consent is required for all price increases in Korea.
Is there some way I could check if things are working as intended?

We're looking for the best way to handle App Store Server Notifications in our development setup and would appreciate some guidance.
Our Setup:
We use a single App Store Connect account for development, which supports multiple environments (e.g., staging1, staging2). Our production app lives in a separate account, so that's not an issue.
The Challenge:
We have only one configurable sandbox notification URL. This makes it difficult to route notifications to the correct development server (staging1 vs. staging2 vs developments) when a sandbox event occurs.
We're considering using a proxy server to catch all notifications and then forward them to the appropriate environment. However, we're not sure how to determine the correct destination.
Our Questions:
What's the recommended approach for managing a single sandbox notification URL across multiple development environments?
If a proxy is the best method, which parameter in the responseBodyV2 payload should we use to route the notification? How can we differentiate between our various dev environments?

I'm working on adding a single Non-Consumable In-App purchase to my app. Essentially a "try before you buy" type thing. Limited functionality unless the app is purchased.
I am currently testing this using Xcode and the Manage StoreKit Transactions window. So far most everything appears to be working except for declined pending transactions.
If I set Ask to Buy to Enabled, the Ask Permission (for parent or guardian) dialog appears. After pressing the Ask button, I see a transaction listed as Pending Approval. If I Approve the transaction, then my app is notified and all is well.
However, if I Decline the transaction then my app is not notified. Is that normal?
Also, how do I (i.e. the app) know that there is a pending transaction?

Hello Developers!
I am trying to run a test In-App Purchase (IAP) for a renewable subscription product in the sandbox environment. I have set up everything required for sandbox testing, but it’s unclear whether the subscription product needs to be pre-approved by Apple for testing.
If approval is required, I have already added the necessary metadata, but the status still shows "Ready for Submit." Additionally, when I save the page, a "Submit for Review" button briefly appears for a fraction of a second on the subscription page before disappearing.
Is this button missing, or is there a known issue with this process? This is my first time running this test, and I would appreciate any pointers or suggestions. Thanks!
I have three questions about verify receipt
I use this api (https://buy.itunes.apple.com/verifyReceipt)to verify receipt is success or not. But since last month, this interface has started to return an error(21002).
I see this document (https://developer.apple.com/documentation/appstorereceipts/verifyreceipt) say its Deprecated.
My question is, is the error suddenly returned recently because the interface has been deprecated or for some other reason? (I haven't modified my code about this recently)

Does this mean that in the new version, as long as the app returns a payment success (purchaseDetails.status == PurchaseStatus.purchased), the payment is guaranteed to be successful, and my server does not need to request payment result verification from Apple's server?

User Initiated a Single Consumable Purchase but Was Charged Twice
A user initiated a single in-app purchase for a consumable item, but they were charged twice. Both transactions have the same purchase token.
Additional details: After the user successfully completed the in-app purchase, the completeTransactions callback was triggered again. This was called at app launch using SwiftyStoreKit.completeTransactions to finish any pending transactions.
Could this be causing the duplicate charge? Any insights would be appreciated.

– Because every purchase is tied to an account and we enforce a global transactionId UNIQUE constraint, replay or cross-account reuse appears infeasible. Under these conditions, is omitting device verification acceptable, or are there situations where Apple still recommends it?
Permanent rate-limit increase for the App Store Server API
– During anniversary events we saw bursts of ~18 000 requests per hour, breaching the current hourly cap on the App Store Server API (verifyTransaction, getNotificationHistory, etc.). Is there a formal process to request a long-term rate-limit expansion (or an alternative tier) from Apple?
When is an App Store Server API call required for a StoreKit 2 jwsRepresentation?
Docs say “call the API if you’re unsure,” but there’s no clear cut-off. Because we fully validate the JWS signature plus the entire certificate chain (including CRL/OCSP checks) on our server, local cryptographic validation seems sufficient for consumables. For subscriptions we still plan to hit the API to fetch the latest status. Does this separation match Apple’s best practice?
If Apple does recommend hitting the API for consumables as well, we’d like a concrete rule of thumb—e.g. “if the item price is USD 50 or higher, always use the API.” Is establishing such thresholds consistent with Apple’s intent?
Refund-risk reduction from Send Consumption Info
– Adapty reports a 40–60 % refund-rate drop for subscriptions when using Send Consumption Info (blog reference). Can we expect similar reduction for consumable IAP in social/online games? Any real-world results would be helpful.

Using StoreKit 2 with App Store Server notifications like so:
User selects a purchase
App calls Product.purchase()
If successful, App Store notifies our backend with the transaction details, importantly with a UUID for the transaction ID.
This works fine, but when I try to test contingent pricing via the handy StoreKit config Transaction Manager in Xcode by creating a PurchaseIntent if I then complete the purchase in the app the Transaction ID is sequential, (0 for the first, 1 for the second etc), which doesn't work for us as the backend might already have that ID stored so the purchase never completes.
If I disable the config file it works fine, but then I can't use the Transaction Manager debug tool. Is there a way to override the ID of a custom transaction that's created via the StoreKit configuration?

For testing purposes, I log out of media and purchases to use sandbox ID's to test in app purchases. Once I log out of media and purchases in device settings, in app purchases is still using my real apple ID, I'm not being prompted anymore to log into a sandbox ID for purchases.

Hi,
This is the first time I'm submitting an app using IAP with auto-renewing subscriptions. Everything keeps getting rejected (specifically, my subscriptions), and instead of telling me what's wrong or what I need to fix, my reviewer just keeps regurgitating generic passages from the rules.
Is there a site/tutorial/whatever that explains how to set these up and submit them? I haven't found anything that looks official/legit, so I'll settle on something recommended by someone who has been through the process.
I would appreciate any help. I have been at this for DAYS and am at my wits end.

I have consumable IAPs in my app. Currently there is no way for me to test refunds for them as Xcode testing doesn't allow refunds option for my Purchases. According to this official documentation on Transaction.all , i should be getting my refunded consumables in Transaction's all property.
But there is no way for me to know what kind of data is in the refunded transaction object. Will there be a 'revocation date' like in the case of non-consumables?
I am currently developing an auto-renewal subscription in-app purchase for my app.
Currently, the subscription items have already been approved in appStoreConnect, and the .store file is synced with appStoreConnect, so the subscription items are displayed well and the test is also progressing well.
However, when I build without using the .store file to perform sandbox testing, the subscription items do not appear and response.invalidProductIdentifiers appears.
Is there anything I need to do additionally so that the subscription items can appear in response.products?
ps. The bank account item in the contract is in 'processing' status, and the paid app contract status is 'waiting for user information'.
I would like to know if it is allowed to offer the user to either unlock the app immediately or partake in a 3-day trial period before making a purchase.
I created 2 IAP non-consumable products; 1 for the immediate [which is at a discount] and for the after trial period ends [this is at a higher cost].
Is this something that Apple allows or is frowned upon?
