Hey there, I have an app where I create custom Advanced App Clip Experiences for other businesses which seems to be a valid thing. I do create them via API. Upon creation everything looks fine: when I go to App Store Connect -> App -> Advanced App Clip Experiences, I do see the new App Clip Experience I've just created. Their status is Received (as any other active experiences) and have a custom URL. The issue is weird timing when the Advanced App Clip Experience actually becomes available on the iPhone (can be triggered via App Clip Code, etc). Some experiences become available literally immediately but others take days (some take 1-2 days, some take ~5 days). I'm not sure why there's a bid difference for an Advanced App Clip to be actually active. Does anyone have any kind of experience with that? I don't change domain settings, app's settings, etc. I'm just creating a new experience (both via API or manually at App Store Connect) and I do have different "activation" times for different App Clips. Same when I delete an Advanced App Clip Experience, it will still be available for next couple days. I get there might be caching stuff, etc. But the difference is quite huge and makes no sense since as I've mentioned some clips become available immediately but some takes days to be available. I'm trying to fade in the sound used in my alarm app but currently there's no way to achieve this since the alarm sound loops and if i add a fade-in at the beginning of my audio, every time the audio loops the fadein happens.

I am using the WeatherKit REST API with hourlyStart/hourlyEnd parameters to request up to 240 hours of forecast data. However, when requesting later in the day, the API returns fewer than 240 hourly forecasts — e.g., 239 at 08:00, 238 at 09:00, etc. and goes up to 224 for 23:00 It appears the returned list is contiguous but truncated at the end compared to the full 240-hour window. I have also tried getting the data after sometime, like 09:00 data at 09:45 but still was missing the same data at the end. Is this expected WeatherKit behavior or a bug? If it’s expected, is there documentation explaining how the “forecast horizon” is determined and when it is updated? Thank you.

I’m testing FinanceKit with Apple Cash and noticed that transfers don’t include any counterparty information. In FinanceKit, there’s no way to distinguish between transfers with different people — every transfer looks identical. Questions Is there a hidden or planned field for Apple Cash counterparty information? Can FinanceKit provide at least minimal metadata (e.g., contact name, initials, or a privacy-preserving identifier)? Is there any workaround today to correlate Apple Cash transfers with contacts? Feature request: Please expose counterparty information for Apple Cash transfers. Even something as simple as a stable identifier or name string would enable developers to build Wallet-quality transaction detail screens. Thanks!

I'm new to the Screen Time API and trying to block custom websites, but I can't get WebDomain tokens to work. When I create a WebDomain like WebDomain(domain: "reddit.com"), the token property is always nil. I have proper authorization and the app works fine for blocking apps, but website blocking just won't work. I'm confused because I see apps like JOMO that let users type in any website domain and successfully block it using Screen Time API. They have the same 49 domain limit and only ask for Screen Time permission, so they must be using the same API I am. But somehow their WebDomain tokens work and mine don't. I've tried creating the tokens right after getting authorization and during the FamilyActivityPicker session, but still get nil. Am I missing some setup step or API call that makes WebDomain tokens valid? Any help would be really appreciated since I'm stuck on this.

My CoreSpotlight extension seems to exceed the 6 MB memory limit. What’s the best way to debug this? I've tried to attach the debugger on the Simulator but the extension seems to be never launched when I trigger the reindex from Developer settings. Is this supposed to work? On device, I am able to attach the debugger. However, I can neither transfer the debug session to Instruments, nor display the memory graph. So I've no idea how the memory is used. Any recommendations how to move forward? Is there a way to temporarily disable the memory limit since even with LLDB attached, the extension is killed.

I am trying to port my sandboxed macOS app completely over to iOS using a Catalyst target and SwiftUI. There appears to be an issue when trying to drag to the Finder in Catalyst (and in SwiftUI in General). For some reason, the Finder will not accept multiple file drops, only a single file. On my macOS (non-Catalyst AppKit target), I overcame this by dropping multiple files to a UTType of .folder, and the OS accepted the folder. This workaround is not available for iOS because .folder is a macOS-only option. I have a test app to illustrate the issue. Hopefully someone can help. Download Test App

If the kid follows those rules—for example, by using their device less or avoiding restricted categories—they would earn points or rewards in the app. I’ve been exploring if the Apple Screen Time API allows developers to access this kind of data (like total screen time, app usage by category, etc.) so that I can track the kid’s behavior and reward them accordingly. Hi, We are working to integrate the Live Caller ID Lookup feature into our app. After submitting the request form via the link: https://developer.apple.com/contact/request/live-caller-id-lookup/, we received this reply from Apple: Apple’s OHTTP relay has been configured to talk to your OHTTP gateway. Now Live Caller ID Lookup should work for your application extension when distributed through App Store. However, before officially releasing our app on the App Store, we’d like to make sure the Live Caller ID Lookup feature is working as expected. To test this, we uploaded the app to TestFlight, and it successfully passed App Review. However, the test failed — we observed that the system tries to fetch the config from http://www.example.com/config instead of our actual configuration URL. Questions: Is this expected behavior when using TestFlight? Does the Live Caller ID Lookup feature only become active after full public release on the App Store? Is there any recommended way to test this feature before public release? Thank you!

Goal: Manually install an explicit version of Rosetta2 Background: Me and some customers have an old app (intel) which perfectly worked with Rosetta2. In the last week of April most macheines were updated to Mac Os 15.4.1. and the app still starts but certain functionality is bronken. Some fields ind the forms don't write back to the database, some data can't be read from the database. (Most installations will fade out over the next month but it would be great to have the app fully working for data migration.) First try was to step back to 15.4. (Clean Install - Install App - Rosetta installs as expected): no change, app still broken Second try back to 15: (Clean Install - Install App - Rosetta installs as expected): App still broken (!) This is interesting as the app worked for month using Mac Os 15! Third try: Back to MacOS 14 (Clean Install - Install App - Rosetta installs as expected): App is working like nothing happend. (All attempts on same hardware of course.) Reasoning: Rosetta2 was the only software (besides the app itself) installed after clean MacOS installs. Now, my guess is that there were might be a change in Rosetta2 as the app worked on MacOs 15 up the update 15.4.1. was installed. Checking versions (pkgutil --pkg-info com.apple.pkg.RosettaUpdateAuto): Rosetta version MacOS 14: 1.0.0.0.1.1722778371 Rosetta version on MacOS 15.4.1: 1.0.0.0.1.1744447383 To fully verify the cause it would be great to uninstall Rosetta on MacOS15.4.1 machine and explicit install lower version (1.0.0.0.1.1722778371) which must be available somewhere as MacOS14 still gets this version. I know how to uninstall - is there a possibility to manually install an explicit version of Rosetta2?

AgeRangeService is the burning topic right now. Needless to say, Everything is so unclear. We got our app finally into the TestFlight for QA and the product to test. only to find out that AgeAssurance for sandbox testing does not work. There is no document confirming or denying whether and when age assurance for the App with the release configuration in test flight would work. There isn't any guidance from Apple on whether an app that sells physical goods, such as an e-commerce app, can continue doing business as usual. Also, there is no clarity that the Age assurance options are off, 13, unverified, 13 verified, and so on. How those should be used.

I'm using FamilyActivityPicker to get consent for app/category management, which returns a FamilyActivitySelection object. I serialize this FamilyActivitySelection object (just applicationTokens and categoryTokens) and pass it to my DeviceActivityMonitor extension via App Group UserDefaults. I am using the JSON encoder/decoder over PropertyList (though both seem to exhibit the same behavior). After inspecting the FamilyActivitySelection object immediately after it's returned by FamilyActivityPicker in the main app, the application.bundleIdentifier property is consistently nil for every Application object within selection.applications. Similarly, category.localizedDisplayName is nil for ActivityCategory objects. This happens whether "Select All Apps" is used or if apps/categories are selected individually. I understand that this is the intended behavior due to Apple's user privacy policies. I read on another post that my app can be provided with bundle identifiers and app names within Shield Configuration extensions and Device Activity Report extensions - I'm not sure which ones or how exactly to do this. I am aware that I can use Label(applicationToken) SwiftUI view to display the app name/icon, but this doesn't give programmatic access to the bundleIdentifier string. My app will not log or export these bundleIdentifiers outside of its sandbox. My goal is to create mappings to the FamilyActivitySelection with the publicly accessible bundleIdentifiers. The app will also allow users to book a selected Point of Interest (for example, an EV charging slot). I understand that the app can be registered under the Navigation (turn‑by‑turn) category, but I wanted to check whether it is also possible to register it under the Driving Task category. I also want to know if i can Register for multiple Categories for my car play application.

After a user has launched an App Clip Experience from Safari and is done with the activity that the App Clip provides – is there a way for the App Clip to programatically close itself so the user returns to Safari?

Issue Description: When the snooze alarm and a set alarm share the same time, the behavior differs between locked and unlocked screen states. The current issue occurs when the screen is unlocked and the device is on the home screen before the alarm goes off: Alarm A is set for 17:23, and the snooze button is tapped when it rings. Alarm B is set for 17:25. At 17:25, Alarm B first vibrates and then rings (no buttons are pressed at this time). A few seconds later, it vibrates a second time. After that, the alarm becomes silent. If dynamic/notification alarms are disabled, the next scheduled alarm rings normally.

We've been using the WeatherKit API for a few years now. Everything has been pretty stable. We'll periodically get 404 errors, but they usually disappear within a couple days. Starting March 5th we've again been getting 404 errors that slowly ramped up to March 20th and continued. We have had no code changes on our end, so something seems to have changed / broken on the server side of things. We integrated DeviceCheck framework into our app to prevent fraudulent call to our app service around one year ago. Recently, we received a few cases related to this function over Christmas Eve period. Based on the logs we have, it indicated both the following two functions returned errors. But we don't have the exactly errors logged and now we cannot replicate. DCAppAttestService.shared.attestKey() DCAppAttestService.shared.generateAssertion() The other finding we have is some users reporting this issue recently upgraded their devices from iOS 18 to iOS 26. So we are suspecting it's due to either the OS upgrading, or Apple's app attest service degrading. Anyone encountered the similar issues before, or have any idea regarding the root cause? Thanks!
